  1. Hi Mo. Congratulations on your show. I wasn’t sure how your show would be. I love your comedy but the cracks about “skinny bitches” while I know it is a joke, sometimes it bothers me. I’m only the smaller side (~size8) and get side comments from larger female relatives from time to time as if to say I don’t have much of a shape. I’m smaller but I am curvy enough. I don’t ask you to change your feelings but please realize small & big women give each other the bad looks as though you cannot be proud of working with what you have.
I’m listening to your show today about teen pregnancy and I am very impressed. My son is also 18 without any children. When he was born so many people said “at least he can’t have any babies.” I said and continue to say to them that it is not any easier having a son than a daughter. I said that if my daughter becomes pregnant and continues with the pregnancy, she cannot get pregnant during that time but my son could get who knows how many girls pregnant in that same 9 months. I applaud what you are doing and wish you will.

  2. Mo’Nique, I love your postive, affirmational style and how you support righteous causes. Lemme send you a pair of Ojamas – not just any pajamas, they’re Ojamas. http:;//www.ojamas.us. Email me so we can get you a set. Love ya.

  4. Hey Mo! love you and Congrats on your show. I have always been a big fan of yours. I am a event designer from Deroit Mi Ive been designing events for 7yrs. I would love for you to have one o two or three your not going to just want one!!

  5. You are a phenomenal plus-sized woman. I love it! I wanted to comment on the American Idol audition at Newport on the Levee. There were so many plus-sized women of various ethnicities that were talented, but didn’t look “camera-worthy”. I was thinking maybe you could host some type of show close to Cincinnati to showcase the talent in a plus-sized woman!

  6. I love you and your show Ms. Monique I enjoy you to the utmost and your topics are what’s real I laugh and cry on the way home after work . I wish I knew you personally, I have always loved your spirit. You and your family I wish you the best. Love ya Cynt.

  7. Monique is very very pretentious. She always speaks of how she has “made it” out the hood and she feels for those people still in it. Being in Soul Plane and Welcome Home Roscoe Jenkins isn’t what i call making it. Really, having a Radio Show is a Step Down! She tries to have a humble and down to earth persona, but she just comes of as an egotistic. I used to like Monique until she got a big head for no reason. Wendy Williams is so much better, she is who she is.

    How u doin’

  8. Hey Mo!
Congratulations for ALL YOUR SUCCESSES!!!! You GO GIRL!! I just wanted to let you know how important your show has been to me. I have laughed, cried, been informed, but most of all I’ve been empowered. I am a 34 y.o. single mom of two teenagers. I work two jobs and attend a 4 year university and at times when I’m listening to your show and I hear you and others talk about how you’ve made it through different situations in life it helps me. You will never know how important you are to women as a whole. Keep up the good work.
Good Luck on all your future endeavors!!!!! We love you here in Houston!!!!!!!!!!!

  9. Hi Monque,
I just want you to know that I love your work and enjoy you as a comedian. I listen to your show yesterday about giving to christ and was very upset at the way the devil is using you to discourage others. Since you are a secular donlt try to mix religion with your other mess. You don’t understand that your words are very powerful and you can bless someone and curse themw as well without knowing. I encourge you to read the bible and let Jesus bring you out of dakness. Because as I listen to you seems like your calling is there but you are runing from it. Congratulations be bless and I pray you anwser your calling and next you pray for anyone end it in Jesus name amen. Be Bless my Sister

  10. Hi Mo’Nique,
I love your show. I was listening to the program and you were speaking to your listeners about snooping. One of the callers gave mention of a website that is like a directory that can tell you if someone is signed up to certain social directories such as Facebook, MySpace, etc. She went so fast with the info that I could not catch it. If you could would you please see if you could give me the website again?

  11. HEY MO… YOUR DOIN IT FOR ALL PLUS SIZE GIRLS ACROSS THE WORLD…I LOVE IT….OH WHEN ARE U DOIN ANOTHER FAT CHANCE CASTING…I WOULD BE PERFECT FOR THE JOB……

  12. Hey Girl,

I’m listening to you and Sonny Andre talk about being single. I HATE BEING SINGLE!! There is nothing cute about it. However since I’m 42 and never been married, I have learned to embrace it. I would love to be in that right devine relationship, but I realize that God has some work for me to do before He blesses me with His Mr. Right for Patti B. So in the mean time, I will continue to thank Him in advance for my soul mate (husband).

    Patti B.

  14. Hello Monique,,,,,.Sonny Andre, tunning in daily as I pray that you all are a blessing for someone at the right time. While listening one day I cried till my heart was flooded with tears. Monique,, I’m afraid, not of taking a chance,,,,,I just don’t know. As I listen to you, wishing we could just sit and have a woman to woman talk. My two friends are my daughters, while as a mother I still can’t pore my heart out to them because they’ll be worried. See I’m so disappointed within myself I can’t seem to get up for me. It’s always been about them and now they say Mommy,,,,,go do what you’ve always wanted to do. Monique never mind,,,,, I’m so personal still holding it in. Anyway just to give you a show topic. .Don’t let something so small keep you from a dream.
    if only,,,a chance

  15. Hey Mo!
I have THE book for your listeners! I wrote it a few years back . IT’s called
“Dealin: A Straight-Up, No Joke, In Your Face Daily Motivator! After listening to the show yesterday about “Sticks and Stones” and Baby Momma Drama, I want to make it available to all of your listeners. Get in touch! Keep making things happen, and stay up! Tony

  16. Black History Fact:
Stop using the work “Picnic”. It is a KKK term used at their outings to pick the next
N – – – – – for lynching. I find that Monique Show and the Tom Joyner Show don’t challenge the use of the word “PICNIC”.

  17. Hello Mo’niqe,

Hilliary Rodham Clinton gave an extraordinary speech at the 2008 DNC. She truely demostrated what it means to be a teamplayer when it really counted. Early in her speech, Senator Clinton layed out all the essential reasons for getting behind Senator Barack Obama in order to ensure a Democratic win in November 2008. It was always obivious to me that their policial policies and resolutions were pretty much similar to each other.

Make no mistake, Senator Clinton told her supporters and the world that the need to vote for Senator Obama was greater than her popularity, her gender and her dream. She ilumnated that this election was not about her, and in my opinion it never was. She practicedly begged her supporters to realize that there is a bigger picture than her losing the nomination.

She conveyed that our children’s future was at stake if they didn’t vote for Obama. She also conveyed how foreign policy would be at risk if her supporters didn’t support Obama. She reminded her supporters that it’s more than just the Presidential office that’s at stake – it’s about our survival in the world.

I believe Senator Clinton has an geniune purpose in life, like Senator Obama, to help all those who are struggling to raise their families, to obtain adequate healthcare, to get an education, to get a decent paying job or career, etc.

I think Senator Clinton was saying don’t shed any tears for her. With God’s will, she will continue to serve the people politicially. After all, she’s not dead; she is a fighter. If anyone would take the time to research her life, he or she would find out that it’s her divine calling and God is not through with her yet.

If it is God’s plan for Hilliary Rodham Clinton to lead our country as president, it won’t be November 2008, but rest assure, it will happen one day. For now, it appears that God wants Senator Barack Obama to lead us and Senator Clinton’s speech indicated that she has accepted that fact – graceously.

Senator Hilliary Clinton gave an acceptional speech that will no doubt go in history as one of the best ever. Go Hilliary!

But now, it’s time for everyone to work as hard as ever to get Barack Obama elected President of United States. Go Obama!

  20. Regarding your topic on molestation on Monday, September 15, 2008. I was a victim of molestation at the age of five years old. It happened to be an older male neighbor who stayed upstairs in a 4-family flat, my mom and my five siblings occupied a lower apartment. He caught me playing alone in the hallway one day and took me up to his flat. Unfortunately for me my mother made me feel guilty about the situation. She told me once we were alone from the doctors, “you tell them motherfuckers upstairs to keep their hands off of you.”

This was somewhat traumatic for me because I didn’t have a clue as to what was going on/what happened to me. As a parent you are to comfort and assure your child that you have their back in something so devastating. After that, my mother has treated me as if she hates me, even to this day and I am now 44 years of age.

I grew up feeling alone, shamed and unworhty of anyones love. I imagine she didn’t know how to deal with the situation considering she and my father were separated and going through a divorce. Trying to win her love I would give up my whole paycheck as a teenager, buy her expensive gifts, furnish her house among a few things.

This incident has made me feel so tainted after sharing my pain with previous men in relationships I’d been in, they somewhat judged me or used me to their advantage. I shared it with my pastor years ago, and she told me to forgive the man, and forgive myself for the hurt I’ve felt all these years.

It isn’t easy, but I am trying to heal and God knows I don’t want to hurt anymore.

I love you Mo’Nique and Sonny Andre’, and I try to get off work everyday so I can listen to your show, truly your misery becomes your ministry in life. Keep making peoples’ heart smile.

God bless you exceedingly and abundantly above all you could ask or think of him.

  21. MoNique,

    Mo Nique,

Big, Big Ups to Margie Creek
My best friend who owns her own barber shop called “A New Era Hair Studio” located in Pumphrey, Maryland. Between Cherry Hill and Glen Burnie. She is a single mother who is truly a best friend. Anything that you or anyone can say that a best friend should be , she is. She works hard. She has one daughter, who she raised to be an independent person. And now her daughter has grown up, married and has just opened her daycare busniss “Munchkins Daycare” in the same neighborhood.
When I wake up in need of a friend to talk to, while working and need a word, in my quiet time and in my prayers, she is always there. With Love & support to not only me,& my husband, but to my entire family.

Margie deserves as many “BIG UPS THAT I CAN GIVE” which is everytime I see her. There’s no one like her. God knew what he was doing when he placed her in my life. And we have been best friends for 40 years.

    Now, “BIG UPS TO MONIQUE

It is an honor to even have the opportunity to even type something to you, knowing that you will read it. You are truly an inspiring jewel to all, but most of all to Baltimore, MD.

Most of them are not able to hear your show in the afternoon, but I represent you well here in Silver Spring. Because I tell them what you were talking about each day.

Keep doing what you are doing. You are truly blessed and highly favored by God. I am so happy to see that you happy. You are a sister to be admired.

I heard you talking about Black nail polish. My daughter just moved to Sylmar Ca. and she is trying to get her businees (Strictly Business Cleaning Services) up and running. So I give her “Big Ups” for sticking to what she believed she could do. Oh, by the way she is an excellent manicurist. Who would love to do your nails, and who knows maybe she can get her own shop on Melrose. Which is another plan in her head. Think about it. It Would be worth your while to have your nails done by a black woman who is exceptional. (And I would say that even if I we not he Mom)

    Thank You for listening,

  23. I was just visiting the Charlotte area and I just love your show, I live in Mass, is there anyway I can get your station? Would there be anything on the internet I could download? Thanks in advance for any help you can give me!

  24. Monique I think your show is great. I enjoy the topics and everything. I have really learned a lot listening to your show. I am 18 years old and will be graduating from high school. I would like to go on an adventure trip around the world, but my mom feels that I need to go to college when I graduate. I feel that I should use my money on whatever I feel. I think you should have a disscussion on your show about “Should Parents make their kids go to college? Thanks for having this show

  25. Dear Ms Mo’Nique…
I work in a nursing home in Texas City, Tx. I am a therapy tech, and I help work with patients and get them ready for the therapist to treat. We recenlty were all effected by Hurricane Ike, and there really hasnt been much enthusiasm around the facility like there was before. I have only worked here for a month or so but I can notice the difference. There is one thing though, that keeps us all going. Keeps us smiling everyday at 2pm….
One of our residents is a 26 year old male with cerebral palsy. He IS IN LOVE WITH HIM SOME MO’NIQUE!!! and EVERYONE in the building knows it!! I usually have him in our therapy gym around 2pm, or Im either making sure he gets to his room on time to catch your show. He gets SOOOOOOOOOOOO excited when ever anyone mentions your name, sings your theme song, or even says its 2 o clock!! He’ll tell you, his favorite part is “Mo real, Mo laughs, Mo love…Mo Nique Nique Nique Nique Nique in the afternoon”. Giirrrrrrrrrl…..He starts whoopin and hollering and its just somethin you have to see to believe! Words cannot express his love for his Mo’Nique!
His 27th birthday is coming up on Oct. 31st. He has written a letter to you and sent it off yesterday (oct. 7). He already tells everyone who’ll listen, “guess what! Monique is gonna come see me for my birthday!” Now, we all know that you are a busy woman, and we know that its probably more likely that you wil not come visit him on his birthday…so we just agree and say “oh thats nice’ or “wow” you know. Just to keep him dreaming and loving you! He says… “if Mo’Nique comes to see me, I wont need another birthday gift for the next 40 years!!” (hes such a ham!) Everyday he sees me its the same old thing…Monique this, Monique that *^_^* ………
So…. I guess what Im asking is for a letter, a card, maybe even a recorded phone message or somethin for the lil guy’s birthday. It would mean more to him than you’ll ever kno!!! If I told you he was your #1 fan, Id be lying, cause Ms Monique I dont think any of your fans are HALF as excited about you as he is!!!! So if possible, could you please Please please do something special for my boy Justin. Hell even a shout out on the radio would work..he’ll definately hear it!! He never misses a show!
Thank you Mo’Nique for everything you’ve done and everything you plan to do in the future. Everything you touch seems to turn to gold, and hopefully, with Jehovahs blessings, we might get to be so lucky!!!
    Sincerely, with Down South Love,
    Justin c/o Ronnisha Cotton

  26. Hey Mo’nique,

I’m one of your homegirls from B’more-Woodlawn, Randallstown. My aunt Vashti and your mom are friends. I live in Charlotte now, and I listen to you and Sonny when I’m fightin’ traffic on 485 and 77 on my way home. I’m a Forest Park graduate (’77) and my kids graduated from Woodlawn HS. One of my sons is a UMBC graduate (’06). My older son did not finish college, but he’s working steadily. In response to the writer who asked “Should parents make their kids go to college?–I think parents should support their child’s decision to go or not to go. All kids are not ready right out of HS. I think it’s beneficial to go to college, and when it comes to applying for a job, that degree can make a lot of difference. I’m a witness-I went back to weekend college and earned my Bachelor’s degree in ’03. I don’t know if you’ve had this discussion on your show, but it would be a good topic, especially with Obama stressing the importance of education.

Keep us thinkin, laughin’, and lovin’!

    Julie S

  28. What happend to Sonny on the Monique show???? I really miss him the chemistry is not there now the show is just not the same…..

  29. I agree….The show is just not the same without Sonny Andre. He bought something special to the show that is just not there anymore.

  30. Hi, mo I would like to know what happened to Sonny Andre. It’s not the same anymore you and him was a team and thats not there anymore why? We want to know were he is you dont talk are say anything about him thats your boy and your not acting like it mo whats wrong. Its not the same we need sonny bring him back if you can it seem lke everything was going good with the show with the both of you all but now its sad. Please tell us the board what’s up.

  31. Sonny Andre was your tonto…so wats with you, Long Ranger…he definitely brought something to the show…I hope when you are ready you will tell the board wat happened…

  32. What is going on with the show? There is definitely something missing without Sonny Andre not there. He brought a certain charm and finesse to the show that is missing. The dude who replaced him is woefully lacking in his delivery and connection with me and I am sure other listeners. Bring Sonny Back!!!

  33. I agree totally and I have been searching all over to find out what happened to Sonny Andre? He was a great addition to the show and I believe that the Monique Show owes it to their loyal listeners and fans some type of reasoning for his exit from the show. Of course we respect the privacy of the situation, but don’t just switch up on us and replace the co-host with a bunch of seat-filler characters attempting to disguise the situation. I do not get excited about the plethora of new additions to the show, and quite honestly I love Monique, but the only I still listen to the show now is because I do not want to have to change my radio station frequency at my desk. Sorry Monique but your fans need closure.

  34. What’s up Mo’nique? How are you girl? I met you a little while back and I’m going to try to get you to remember the occasion. I’m a 52 year old black woman. My daughter and your niece had the honor of being inducted into PHI THETA KAPPA.. The event was in Charlotte, NC on the Central Piedmont Community College campass. I remember that after the ceremony was over and everyone was leaving the auditorium people began to recognize you. I just want to give you your props and commend you on how very gracious and humble you were when speaking to people….but beyond that….I was most impressed when you kindlly told everyone that we were all here for someone special and it was their night. I know that everyone there could feel you at that moment and agreed with you. It was evident because everyone’s focus returned to their special person. Whether you remember this or not isn’t even important. What is important to me is that I know, by your actions that night, that you are REAL and nothin’ but the TRUTH! Those qualities are the makings of a true sister and friend, so thank you for being you……and my sister and friend!
By the way girl…where’s our boy Sonny Andre? You know I’m missing him. I am so glad to have you on the radio keeping in touch with all of us, but damn Mo…I really, really miss Sonny. He was so smooth sounding. He complimented you 100%. He added sex appeal to the show for women, and was a good role model for men. Now you’re still my girl and I’m still listening to the show…..but can Sonny come back? I sure hope so. But if he can’t, can you let a sister know what happened? Thanks girl. Holla back at your girl!

  35. HEY MO, I LOVE U AND UR SHOW BUT YOU SAY MO-REAL SO BE REAL WITH YOUR BOARD OF DIRECTORS WHERE IS SONNY ANDRE?

    LOVE YOU !TIFFANY FROM 8MILEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  36. Hey Mo’Nique!

I would like to personally thank you for showing the world that Baltimore definitely produces the BEST OF THE BEST!! You, Jada, Nicole Ari Parker Kodjoe, Toni Braxton, etc., are inspirations to all the Baltimorean who get discouraged by all of the negative images of the city depicted in the media.

Keep doing what you do! Baltimore loves you!!

    Be Blessed,

    Shelly

  37. Rodney Perry is no replacement for Sonny Andre. Monique I hope you wake up and wise up on this one. Rodney is sooo rude and not as funny as he thinks he is. I pray that Sonny Andre will return to the show!!!

  38. Rodney Perry is not a replacement for Sonny Andre, and if she believes she was fighting for ratings then, I know she is fighting now…the show needed Sonny Andre, he completed Monique. Her background of being a radio host lacked the finesse that Sonny Andre brought. Now all she has is a loud mouth, talking over, not to funny comedy show. For those that are looking for closure, it killed me to find closure by tuning to another radio station during my work day, because I think Sonny is what made me like the show to begin with. I do agree Rodney is rude to the ‘board of directors’ the one that keeps them on the airwaves…is that what you really want? No, Sonny was not as vocal because it’s hard to compete with a big mouth! Robert Praise Man WAshington on 92.1 has an amazing show at the same time, try it and I know you will find mo real, mo laughs, mo love, receiving a message about the real board of directors!, J-E-S-U-S!

Sonny, I wish you the best, and you being the christian man portrayed on the air, I know you understand when I say, when one door closes another opens! You’ve touched many in the short time on the air and I know someone with wings has been listening! Be Blessed! Better opportunities are on the horizon!

  39. Monique, you need to be for real. Where is Sonny Andre? Please bring him back to your show. Rodney Perry is rude and needs to go to speak classes. Sonny helped to balance the show. Sonny is very intellgent and mild manner and I wish him the best.

Get rid of Rodney Perry he has NO CLASS.

Good Luck, you are going to need it to keep your show on the air with Rodney as a co-host.

  40. Seriously, Houston, TX is wondering where the h377 is Sonny? I am so over the new guy. I have turned my radio down more times since he has been on the show. Especially since the first day, I was like who in the h377 is this guy over talking and hanging up on callers.

  41. I want Sonny Andre back. Did “restroom talk” do him in? The show is not very good any more and I can’t even listen to it for more than 10 minutes. Bad PR decision.

  42. Sonny, I miss you. Mo i pitty you.
I knew that when Sonny took issue( the show pertaing to the bible) with your hanging on his wife’s coat for a career opportunity no degree aquired husband, I figured he’d be canned. Mo we know and love you, not your man. You should have never let him convince you to fire Sonny…….Sonny you did the right thing stand strong in your convictions, the BIBLE and MIRACLES and FAITH is all we have
    continued blessings.
    G

  43. Come on Mo, listen to your “board of directors” I must say this is not a situation where you are being real. Where is Sonny? We love him. In my opinion Rodney Perry is not funny and the show only needed one funny person and that’s you. Bring back Sonny so we can all be one big happy family.

  44. Well Mo, I knew it would only be a matter of time before your no judgement zone would become a dead end zone! I love the way that you represent so well for the “Big Girls”. But I think it’s aweful that I had to turn off your show many times based on your show’s topics and no judgement zone comments. I am also very disappointed that MAJIC 102 here in H – Town would allow you to infiltrate what has been a family radio station with such filth and negatisim.

Sonny was instrumental in attempting to bring a sense of class and respect to the show. And I must say, you are a darn fool for letting him go. But I do know that Sonny has served his purpose on the show and that his season is obviously finished. And I am truly grateful!

Rodney is definitely turning out to be quite a Big Mouth. I still can’t believe that he actually put his foot in his mouth and stated that Marvin Sapp’s recent number one hit (Never would have made it) was actually a re-make! So untrue! Okay Monique, it’s obvious that Rodney is not only arrogant but ignorant as well. Things don’t look good!

  45. From a IMD DC VA radio listerner.

guess Im the only 1 who hates the Monique show. I hate the Monique show.
I was irritated by her voice but standed it bc she wasnt in my face. Her parkers show is such crap.
How come she is on so many stations w/o a trial period.
    We ARE NOT feeling her!
Bring back Alvin John Waples to 102.3 in MD/DC/VA.

  46. Monique –

Where is Sonny Andre? The two of you related to each other with such magic and that chemistry translated to the listening audience. Please bring him back because he is greatly missed!

    Thank you,

    Cheryl

  47. Where in the world is Sonny Andre. I must say I agree with many of the prior post, Rodney Perry is awful and the Monique Show is awful without Sonny Andre. He brought the much needed balance to the show. He made it tolerable to listen to. Sonny Andre was not afraid of her no good husband and her loud mouth. He is what the show needs. Monique is a disgrace, she def is not mo’ real as she claims to be.

  48. MAYBE I HAVE BEEN UNDER A ROCK FOR A WHILE BUT I DON’T KNOW WHAT HAPPENED TO SONNY ANDRE? WHEN I GET TO TURN YOU SHOW ON IT IS AFTER WORK AND YOU GUYS ARE ALL PUMPED UP BY THEN SO I MISS THE FIRST HOUR OR SO, HELP A SISTER OUT “WHERE IS SONNY”

  49. Monique,

I think you know by now that Sonny was just as important as you in making that show a hit. I have stopped listening because Rodney does not appeal to me- not his humor or use of the English language. As many have already pointed out, Sonny provided a needed balance to the show, and most of you listeners missed him. I would certainly appreciate some kind of statement on your website and during the show as to what happened to Sonny. Please be honest with us.

  50. I also thing Rodney is rude. I know some people take a long time to explain their story. They should be told the limit before telling their story. I hate to hear him talk he is tie tongue. Also, I hate when he repeat after Monique. That is not funny.

  51. Sonny Andre is on 1073 jamz in Greenville. Him and Monique must have had a falling out for him to leave to abruptly and for her not to mention it formally. I did like Sonny as well. I do agree that Rodney is rude. I still listen to the show because I adore Monique.

  52. Hi Monique,

I’m not sure what’s going on with some of the people who have posted comments. (I think they’re just hatin’) I absolutely love you and your show. You always manage to make me laugh and I feel that you are very genuine. You and your “Sweet Sweet Sid” seem to be happy with each other and I think it’s lovely to see.

I enjoyed Sonny Andre as well but, Rodney is CRAZY. I enjoy the way the two of you feed off of each other and Kim brings a quiet calmness to the show that balances it all out.

    Keep doin’ what you’re doin’!

  53. Sonny will not be coming back to the show.
He was fired Halloween nite. Upon learning of this KS or KD quit the show.
Sonny isn’t on 1073 jamz in Greenville.
    He’s working in New York.
He will be on there soon.
He says he has no hard feelings towards Monique, he wishes her contiued growth.
He and his family are being immensly blessed.

Thanks for keeping it really real Sonny, and reaching out to a sista like me.
    Gina

  54. I LOVE YOUR SHOW AND HATE THE FACT THAT I CAN’T HEAR IT WHEN I WORK OUT BETWEEN 4 AND 5. I GUESS I NEEF ADIGITAL. I DON’T KNOW WHAT HAPPENED TO SONNY ANDRE BUT I REALLY LIKED HIM, THE SHOW IS DOWNGRADED AS FAR AS I AM CONCERNED. I DO NOT LIKE THIS NEW GUY, AND I DID NOT LIKE BATHROOM TALK WI YOUR HUSBAND, HE DOES NOT HAVE THE VOICE OR CHARISMA FOR GIVING ADVICE. WHAT GIVING ADVICE ON HOW HE GOT YOU! HE IS ANOTHER STEDMAN TO ME, BUT IF YOU LOVE HIM FINE, BUT I DON’T LIKE HIM ON THE RADIO. BY THE WAY COULD ANYONE TELL ME WHAT IS GOING ON WITH GARY DOURDAN? I REALLY MISS HIM.. HIS BIRTHDYA IS DECEMBER 11, AND LAST I HEARD HE WAS SUPPOSED TO BE DEOING A VAMPIRE MOVIE.

  55. Loved the show when Sonny Andre was co-host. Mr. Perry has talent in in his own right, however, he does not compliment Monique at all. I’ve been waiting to hear what happened to Sonny Andre. The Board of Directors would like to know.

Monique you have not been straight up with your listening audience. I thought you were “mo real”. I quess you’re not. I will no longer tune in to your show, along with many many others.

  56. I don’t enjoy the show like I used to. Mo’Real when will you let your Board of Directors know the real deal behind Sonny leaving. Actually, I listen to another station during your slot now. I’m from the D.C. area so most likely you know who I have changed my dial to.

    Peace!

  57. I miss Sonny Andre!! Why wont Mo’real talk about it? I hope he comes back so I can listen to the show again. That new guy has no class, or personality.

  58. I’m a 41 year old mom of 8 and I will kick my kids ass young or old I beat other peple kids from my 26 year old son to my 16 year old baby girl, I love you monique
and GOD bless you for keeping it real.

  59. MoNique, I thought by now we may have had some coment from you about Sunny leaving, I do know there are reasons why you are unable to speak on this matter but the same respect you talk about on your show you should give your listeners.

  60. Hi Monique!
Happy New Years to you and your family. I too would like to know what happened to Sunny Andre. When you started the show I heard you say that you would not do a radio show without Sunny. I thought you guys were inceprable. What’s the deal. The show has a different flava now. It’s just not the same. Your listeners are curious and concerned. Your silence only makes us speculate for a while and then loose interest all together. Please consider giving an explanation on air. By the way I love your name. My daughters middle name is Monique!
    MO Love!

  61. Hi Monique, I have been listening to your show from day one, and enjoyed it. However, what the hell happened to Sunny Andre. Your show does not have the same spark like it did when Sunny was on your show. Rodney Perry may have some humor, but, Sunny was charismatic!!!!!!! Please bring him back!!!!!!!!
    MO Love!

  62. I have lost respect for Monique and this show! What a hypocrite…no judgment zone…Sonny was fired due to unfair “judgement”! Mo Real…Please…no one on that production staff has kept it real by explaining what happened to Sonny Andre’ including Mo’Nique. I hope Sonny gets his own syndicated show and runs this one under the ground! What goes around, comes around!

Rodney Perry is the most un-classiest, un-educated, rudest replacement that could have been found…what genius made the decision to add him?

I will not be listening anymore..this board of director is turning in her resignation.

  63. MO, YOU OWE IT TO YOUR LISTNERS. WHAT TO YOUR BOY SONNY ANDRE? I WILL STOP LISTENING TO YOUR SHOW UNTIL I GET AN ANSWER. STARTING TOMORROW. WHEN ONE GOES OTHERS WILL FOLLOW. DON’T LET YOUR RATINGS SLIP MO, GIVE US WHAT WE DESERVE. AN ANSWER, IT DOESN’T HAVE TO BE FILLED WITH DETAILS, JUST AN ANSWER WILL DO . THANKS AHEAD OF TIME MO. LOVE YOU RODNEY, BUT YOU ARE NO SONNY ANDRE.

  64. MO, YOU OWE IT TO YOUR LISTNERS. WHAT HAPPENED TO YOUR BOY SONNY ANDRE?

  65. Monique, you are a true talent..that’s why its called the Monique show
I have something we would like to send you..where can we send this card?

  66. Monique,
I love your show and the only reason I listen is because of you. Since Sonnie left I assume that you PR people though that if we love you as we say we do we will still listen to the show. They were absolutely right. You may need to listen to some of the taped show since Rodney has been you co-host. Mo I’m being Mo’real about this he does not have it. No radio voice and to be a parriot and repeat certain show pharses is not funny. He also need to do some research before he speaks on certain issues (Marvin Sapp). Maybe he needs to stick to stand up comedy. Radio is not for him HE DOES NOT HAVE the voice or the chemistry you need. Get someone like Joe Torre or the guy that played on Soul Plane. I’m just being REAL…and I hope my 2 cents speaks loud.

  67. hey mo,who cares what everyone thinks of your show. but like everyone else what happen to sonny, and I kinda like the new guy.and I will continue to listen to your show. love u

  68. Mo,

you say that you value your board of directors, apparently not enough to inform your listening audience of what happened to Sonny Andre.

  69. This show is terrible! Neither Monique nor Rodney have a strong grasp of the English language and both should be banned from radio. It’s ridiculous! I usually ride in silence rather than listen to this mess. In fact, I’m angry when I get in the car at 3 and have to change the station or turn the radio off because Monique in Afternoon is on. Ugh. The topics are silly and the endless dribble make Black folks look bad. I literally cringe whenever I decide to listen to the show because without fail there will be some ignorance heard.

Also, Rodney is rude and not at all funny. Is he short? Because from listening to him it seems like he’s suffering from a Napoleon complex. I didn’t like Sonny Andre, but realized how much better he was after he mysteriously disappeared leaving Rodney in his place.

Call me a hater or whatever you want, but I – along with EVERYONE I KNOW – think your show is terrible. Sorry Monique, stick to B movies and stand-up, radio is not your forte.

  70. Oh no wait a minute, stop at the RED light ms. disgusted!!!!! I had my comments about the show, but Monique has been and still is a positive influnce for a lot of women of color, so at 3pm do turn your radio off. It’s good thing I’m not in frontcha cause I got a stick wrapped in gray, brown and clear tape that will…. HATER!!!!!!!!She will continue to move ahead without your support, because she has talent.

    Now Rodney????

  71. Can someone please tell me what happened?????????? I was a fan but have sworn off your station until I get an explanation – where is Monique???????????

  72. I absolutely LOVE Monique and her show @3pm. I look forward to it right before I get off of work. All I do is laugh when she comes on. I’m in a totally different mood. She is amazing! She is REAL humor. I live in Philly and unfortunately because of some change that they started today 1/21/09, Monique is no longer on 107.9 here. Does anyone know what happened and if I can listen to her on the internet.

  73. What happen to the Monique Show on 107.9 (Philly) I thought you were celebrating in DC and today I found out this show is no longer aired in Philly. I have to say your show was tops with Sonny. Rodney should stick to comic view. It now takes 3 people to do what you and Sonny did together. You must take your time to make sure that the blend is right, prior to replacing the position. I will still support your book and the new moive that will be coming soon. PS. Make sure that you pray about every step that you take in life and especially the business. Trust God for all things and Trust no man for anything. We don’t have time to be haters, what is needed in this world is to love and respect one another, even when we don’t like the outcome.

  74. First no Sonny Andre just gone with no explaination now Monique has followed suit gone with no explanation. The listerners deserve better than that. By the way I was at the airport a few years ago leaving the Essence music Festival in New Orleans and saw Monique early in the morning with no make up on what so ever all I got to say to is GOOD GUGGLY MUGGLY.

  75. Really People?
    Really, come on.
    Listen, don’t listen.
To everyone who loves Mo, the show, topics, etc keep supporting her.
To all the others, just keep your mouth closed & find another station. She’s still on the radio, Rodney is there, Mr. Perry is gone & life goes on.
I’m sure she is thankful for all of your feedback good & bad;but come on grown people stop being “the crabs in the barrel” pulling each other down.
Whatever happened with Mr. Perry & the show if it was not meant for the public to know then it was not meant to be know.
T0he show is still on the air.
If you can do better & get Mr. Perry on your show then do it.
Other than that move on & get a life.
We all need to laugh, smile, cry, and pray someone else can understand what we’ve gone through in life.
There plenty of other stations to listen too, choose one & live your life & get off the people trying to make others happy.
Have a better day, week, year & life..Peace Out

    -Della
    MD

  76. what happened to my girl mo’nique and my boy sonny andre in the afternoon please tell me i need to no.

  77. I’m glad Monique is off the air in Philly. I would cringe when she spoke , her voice was awful. The show was extremely ghetto. I tried to listen but I always turned the dial to the king of the airwaves at 3 p.m.

  78. Hi Mo….I love your new crew, but just curious; what happened to Sonny Andre. It’s like he just vanished. I am very happy for you and your accomplishments. Keep doin what you doin…Cause I love ya!!!

  79. Monique my husband and I miss you with our heart and soul. We are from Philly and we know listen to dvds on our way home and once we get in. Your show added needed comedy, information, comfort. We use to alternate in the mornings from WRNB TO WDAS, but we listened to you afternoon. But now we no longer listen to 107.9 because we feel violated that they didn’t have the decency to openly announce to their listeners that your were leaving. We listen exclusive to Steve Harvey in the morning. My family sends much love and prayers your way. God Bless, Stay Strong, and Keep Loving.
P.S. Rodney Perry was a wonderful choice and you two should consider future collaborations. Much Love, Vee, Ron, Ron Jr.(21 in DC) & Steve(17).

  80. MoNique in the afternoon is a nightmare, if you like listening to music in the afternoon. This show SUCKS! I wish Radio One would cancel it in DC like they did in Philly and LA. I also wish Mike Baisden’s show would be cancel as well. PLEASE return MUSIC to the airwaves and take these clowns OFF!!!

  81. Hey Mo’, I know that your tired of hearing it but, Rodney Perry SUCKS. He needs to go back doing what he use to do, because being on the air with you is not working……….. No longer listening.

  82. Hi Monique, Rodney and Kim! I have the pleasure of enjoying some of your show gratefully as it helps me deal more patiently with this Washington, DC area traffic. My favorite part of the show is the questions you discuss each evening.
Yesterday, I heard some good ideas for little-to-no money Valentines. I just couldn’t let this one pass without adding my own little sumptin’ sumptin. And this is the first thing that sprang to mind.
One of the greatest, most romantic gifts of foreplay that will guarantee a night of devouring, is this. Go to her office; take her in your arms, look deeply into her eyes and kiss her. Kiss like you have never wanted anything more than you want her. Then simply say ‘I love you’ and walk away. No matter what, you gotta leave it at that.
With people reducing that sweet art of the Kiss to a quick peck or a prelude to sex, indulging her in a long passionate kiss will surely leave her swirling in pure lust, weak at the knees. [If it doesn’t, something else is going on that you should explore]
Lastly, there is something that my fiancée and I do throughout the year that is really cool and helps us to keep those luscious fires burning. One or both of us will declare a random day ‘Love Day’. Either of us can choose this day at any time. On ‘Love Day’ we simply make it our business to express our love, in any way we like – from talking to dancing to, whatever, Mmmmmmm, yea that always. There is no nagging, no arguing, no deep emotional explorations, etc. Only Love. Doing this insures that we have the pleasure of celebrating our beautiful black love all year.

Thanks for letting me share. Much love!

  83. Good show. I am very excited about your show. Does your husband have any single brothers, uncles, or cousins looking for a good woman? He seems to be very inspiring.

  84. Mo’Nique: Tuned into 102.3 yesterday afternoon and — no Mo’Nique!!! I’m missing your show. I’m hopwing that you’ll be back on the air soon in this area. I really enjoy your show and the topics you discuss. I’m so tired of radio stations taking away/cancelling favroite programs without any explanation. I think the public deserves better!!!

  85. Hey, Mo’Nique, I listened to your Obama Whorship Service today and the adulations you and your team were throwing at The Dear One was enough to make me throw-up. He’s already set a record for hiring tax dodgers and lobbyists which makes him the Whopper King after all those promises to run a completely ethical show. The way he’s acting, I’m wondering if he is still on drugs.

  86. Ok…so I get in my car at 6:10pm from running inside the store real quick. I turn back on the radio, and I hear all these sad sad good bys and fair wells. I caught on quick that you were leaving, but WHY. I truely enjoyed your show after a hard days work…ANY feedback would be GREAT!…

  87. Hey, what is going on??? I heard that the Monique show is off? What happened? I really enjoyed the show, after a hard days work and needed to hear somethings, someone that didnt know me from Adam or Eve (lol) it was great to hear some similiar situations on air and you can actually say it out loud in your car and be in the “No judgement zone”. That is a great place to be so that you can be open about anything and no one judge you, at least not on the radio. I know you will more than likely buy your own radio station and do what ever you like! You are doing a great thing, keep it up, keep God first and formost and you will keep surviving!

  88. The show was cancelled because thier was no real substance to the daily topics that were discussed. It was just inevitable that the show would come to sudden demise. You turn the radio on to see what the topic is about only to listen for 30 minutes and hate you waisted your time.

  89. I loved Monique’s show. I work in a stressful workplace and I need that show to help me make it to the end of the day. There were a lot of people in my office that didn’t like the show but so what. (Don’t listen) I don’t like Rush’s radio show and I feel his show needs to be cancelled but it’s not cancelled so I don’t listen. I love you Monique. I really think Rodney and Kim hurt your show. You were doing good with Sony, but you live and learn. You were exploring your options just as the other new radio show host do and you will be back stronger later. For all it’s worth, your reality fashion show was a great hit. And you might want to consider XM Sat. next time. Love ya. I hope to hear and see you soon. Houston.

  90. Mo”Nique is gone from the DC market as well. while she had her ups and downs as far as show are concern it wasn’t to bad. Howver personally coming home int the afternoon rush I prefer music. Keep the talk to the morning shows. I do love that Alvin John is back.

I also understand that TJMS is also being pulled from some markets and being replaced by Steve harvey in the morning. Times are hard and because the ad $ has shrunk you don’t have as long as you use to prove yourself in this market.

  91. Dear Mo,
I live in Texas City, Tx loacated south of Houston just 15 min. from Galveston
and I hate tha that your show has been taken off the air. You gave me and many others something to look foward too in the evenings. Something to get us through the next couple of hours to complete our days. I hope that we will see you back really reallly soon. We Miss You Mo…………….

    Love
    TexasCity

  92. hi,

I did not agree with all your topics especially with the kids in the car
but of a lot the topics and comment refer to me and how I felt as well

The Monique Show was real, live and raw.

I hope you and your crew are o.k. because I am sure you open up many
    jobs working with you too.

    Stay bless and stay strong.

  93. Everyone in my office listed to the Monique show in the afternoon. We especially loved Sonny Aundre, Rodney Perry was a little raw and perhaps a bit much at times. Could he have been the reason for the cancelation? Anyway, we miss Monique and wish her the best.

    Fans in Houston

  94. The cancellation of the show in Houston is to be celebrated! I listen to the radio in order to hear MUSIC, not that drama filled show where the few men were weak and soft as pudding. I would suggest that Monique try television based on the format of her show, but she has a face and body meant for radio.

  95. I am so glad that the Mo show is off the air. I think her shows topics were neck and neck with vulgar rap My 4 year old daughter has precious little ears and the reason I listened to majic 102 in houston is because it’s soft on her ears. I should not have to filter the nastiness and ignorance spewed out from Monique and the rest of her crew. Sunny Andre was the voice of reason and toned Moniques filth down. I’m all for supporting my people but you have to know your audience. Having a show in the afternoon is definitely not the place to hash out very adult issues. Can we just get back to the music???? What was Radio One thinking having a talk show with a not so polished radio so called personality in the middle of the afternoon. Thank God Monique is gone. Next time, if there is a next time, know your audience!!

  96. I enjoyed listing to Monique and the crew in the afternoon minus Rodney. If you did not like the topics or if you didn’t like listing to her then change the station, put a CD on. Have any of you heard the Michael Badsin show in the afternoon. After a long day at work sometimes I like to hear somthing that will make me laugh. With everything I heard on the news about the econmic, job lost, and killings, sometimes I just need to laugh. So again I say to those that just want to hear music “CHANGE THE STATION”.

  97. Just wanted to know what happend to the show. It left without any warning. Is she off everywhere. Is there a enternet station we can tune in to listen.

  98. Oh, NoW I know why you are not on. You got ruid of Sunny. He made you seem like a queen.. That damn Rodney was the thug every fat girl gets. He was not the one. I did listen at times but he hurt my peace of mind saying the wrong things. I still love you Mo. You will continue to made it.

  99. Just thought I’d spread the word about a local author, who recently wrote an awesome book. The book is called The Joy of Dating-Why I love Men. By JJ Smith. it may even be a cool topic on the your radio show.

  100. So glad you are off the air in Houston. YEAH!!!!!! The calls and letters and emails coming in welcoming back “The Magic Man”Jeff Harrison have been overwhelming. Houston listeners were turning their radio’s off or tuning into another station once Kandie Eastman went off the air at 2:00 p.m. and they wouldn’t turn back until that irritating Monique went off the air at 6:00. Shame on you Radio 1 for putting that garbage on the air in the first place.

  101. In Houston I dont know what is wrong with the market down here we were very fortunate to have the Monique show. This is the 4th largest city in the country and we only have the Hatta Morning show which is just local and Tom Joyner which in a lot of peoples opinion is not that funny. I’am fortunate to go to Dallas every weekend and I hear the Steve Harvey show when I come back to Houston on Mondays and I love his show. People in Houston have not heard or listened to the Steve’s show so you dont know how funny it is and all the topics especially with ask Judge Mathis and Nephew Tommy’s prank phone calls. The Monique show was a great show for us in Houston. I rememeber hearing all the callers from Houston so excited that we finally had a great show to listen to. Now its back to the same ol thing. Radio One needs to think about how to market places like Houston and Columbus.

  102. Hi Miss Monique

First i would like to say you are a beautiful, successful, and truly an inspiration women. I follow throughout your sucess ever since i seen you on the parkers. I give you praise for opening doors for us big girls. You are truly my idol. You show that if plus size women do have a place in the entertainment world. I learn about your new talk show on the BET awards show, and i was truly excited. I email you for four years, that why i know im one of your biggest fan, you know what i am your biggest fan. I even enter in the contest for Monique’s FAT chance, even though i didnt get selected, I still supported my big sisters who did, and share tears right long with them as i heard their stories. I can truly relate. Like you Monique, i do have a dream of one day making it in the world to still cary out your belief in the big girls. I also struggle til this day cause of my size. I live in Columbia, South Carolina. I use to work a decent job making good money, but set backs has cause me to end up working at fast food restaurant at age of 30. You know what i wouldnt call it set backs, cause it was for very good reason, my family. I didnt email you to tell you a sob story only to keep thanking you for giving mre the strength to move forward. I accomplish a goal in my life that i thought i would never do. I went from 356 pounds to 223. So, that was onne dream come true, i exepted god into my life, cause without him i know there is no life. I hope to someday get to where you at or even close, cause still as big sister we deserve t be respected and love as well. You are a geat achiever, a wonderful lady thankyou making me believe again. I love you Monique keep up the success, my only dream now is to meet you face to face, and truly thank the women who change my life, cause like you im still going keep my head up. Ill be counting the days to se your talk show. Maybe I can be your first guest. Good luck to you Monique, your number 1 fan Yvonne Sherrel Nelson.

  105. Hey, Ms. Monique-
I wake up late in the mornings to get to work cause I just can’t not watch your show at night 11:00 pm -you are the bomb Sugar!! I loved watching charm school it was the s—! I still have the10 comandments on my wall. You will always crack me up and keep me roll in it truly picks up my hard day’s at work to come home late at night and catch a laugh and your huggs. thanks

PS I need some true fashion tips from you you dress awesome help me

  106. I love her show but she is just very loud at that time out night. So if she didnt yell a lot maybe i could watch the whole show. luv MO

  107. Congratulations Mo! I watch your show and it is good. The only complaint I have is why do you have to curse so much. To me it takes away from you acting like the lady you are. This is what the white man want us to portray. You can be fuuny and clean up your act some. You represent many black women in the world. I love you the same but cool it with the cussing.

I wrote to the White House in the hopes that my plea and personal story can be of support to the thousands more women like me here in the United States. Please read my story below. Please pray for me and the many others like me.

—————————————————————————THE FOLLOWING BELOW IS MY LETTER TO THE WHITE HOUSE.

    First Lady, Michelle Obama

Dear President Obama and First Lady Obama:

I am one of many women who have the same concern about the topic I’m about to write to you about – that is, the hardships of single immigrant mothers raising their American born children facing deportation.

First, I want you to know that prior to my living in the United States, I was given away by my single mother to my father and stepmother at age five in East Africa because my own mother at the time, could not afford to feed me or raise me on her own. As a result, I have suffered grave emotional and physical abuse by my stepmother who raised me. With those memories, I had vowed to myself that I will never let a child of mine suffer like I did. Thus, given birth to my baby here in America several years ago, I continue to do my best in trying to raise my child in the way my child deserves to be in this great country.

I’d like to give you a brief history of my transition here and before my child was born so that you can understand the specifics of my concern related to the topic as noted above. When I came to America over a decade ago, I was sponsored by my father and lived in the same house with him, my brother and unfortunately with the person who used to abuse me (my stepmother). Because of the discomfort of her continued emotional abuse as in the past, my Father and brother transferred me to a nearby family home temporarily within the same city. When it came time for me to receive the immigration court letter, it was mailed to the previous house where my stepmother resided. I never received that letter and believe that she has concealed it from me as she has with other personal mail of mine in the past. Some of my relatives including my Father believed that she did conceal it – there were a few of those relatives that wrote witness letters on my behalf claiming that she was behind my not receiving that important and time sensitive deadline immigration document.

When my Father received the following letter from immigration at the same original address, the letter said that since I didn’t show-up for court at the allocated deadline mentioned in the first letter (which I never received), the judge decided that I need to leave the country. I was so shocked and saddened to read that as was my Father and other relatives here. I ended up hiring an immigration lawyer to help me understand and represent me so that I can remain in my new country here in the United States.

The lawyer has tried several times to motion and reopen my case but the immigration office did not want to reopen my case. In fact, the immigration office sent a letter stating that I still have to leave the country. My lawyer explained to me that I still have another chance, which is to send a letter to the 4th circuit court – however, it would take about three to four years to get the answer and since I had no other choice at the time, I agreed to comply with that suggestion by my lawyer. While my lawyer was working on my case file, I tried contacting him on various occasions to find out the status of my case and he would often say that he would contact me back when he gets an answer as it will take several years (he said not to contact him until he calls me) – I didn’t contact him for two years due to his request. After waiting for so long and not hearing anything back about my case, I decided to call him again and never got any response from my lawyer. Therefore, I decided to visit his office along with several relatives to find out about my case.

As soon as he saw me he told me “your case is dead like water!” At first, I didn’t understand but then he explained that the forth circuit court did not want to reopen my case either. But when I asked him to give me the copy of their answer he told me I am no longer his client so he doesn’t have time to look up my file – however if he gets time he will look for it. Shortly after, I went to his office two or three times to get my copies but he did not even have interest to talk with me and then I felt a very strong feeling that he may have not even sent the letter to the 4th circuit court. I decided to seek another lawyer referred to me by a trusted friend. Once I informed the new attorney about my case, he confirmed that the previous attorney never sent a letter to the Circuit Court as there was nothing on record about it. This new attorney said that I have a 50% chance to remain in the country so I paid him a few thousands dollars as a retainer deposit for his legal immigration services.

For almost three years this new lawyer was collecting a lot of information about my case from my family and me. Because of the story I told him about my childhood, he sent me to get therapy which he believed would be really helpful to me – but I didn’t finish the therapy because I couldn’t afford to pay any further. The new lawyer eventually told me I am very sorry to tell you this – when I took your case I thought you had 50/50 chance especially when I saw how desperate you were/are to stay in here U.S.A. He continued to say that if he sent my case to the immigration again, they might give us a court date and if we go, they might retain me there and eventually send me back home. He explained that he didn’t want to see that happen given what he has learned of my past and desire to continue my new life here in America with my child. He suggested that he hold onto my case in the event that the government comes up with something new to support cases like mine.

I had thanked my new lawyer for his honesty. I truly had some hope to continue my life here – plans to go to college so that I can give a better life to my American born child… at some moments though I felt like my life and my baby’s life dreams have become somewhat of unreachable dreams due to the uncertainty of my immigration case.

In closing, I want you to know that I thought about the horrible possibility of my being forced to leave this great country, and fears of going back to poor conditions of poverty, lack of educational opportunities and job opportunities gives me big fears in providing a wonderful future for my American born child. Besides, the majority of my family and extended relatives are here in the United States. I would end up being alone without any support in very poor conditions if I were to return back to Africa.

I tried my very best not to be illegal in this country by hiring lawyers to fight for my case. When required, I pay my taxes like everyone else and yet me and my child’s lives are uncertain. In these five years of uncertainty about my immigration case, I have talked to a lot of mothers in similar circumstances from varying countries. Their kids are American born and they are immigrants pending legal alien-ship. They all, like me, have adopted the American lifestyle and have continued desires and hopes to provide great opportunities for their American born children.

I grew up in a country where the culture prohibited self-expression of speaking out openly. I never spoke out until today because this is a very important matter to me and especially for my child. As all of us know, America is a blessing, a unique and wonderful country that provides endless opportunities and possibilities to everyone who lives in it. All Americans should be aware, whether they have kids or not, the importance and value a mother has for her child in wanting to provide all that is beneficial to their children. I plead with you to take under consideration the many thousand of single immigrant mothers that live in this country with American born children facing the unfair and unexplained legal laws of facing deportation. I am hopeful, that with my expression of sharing my personal story in this letter, that something can be done about such unfair rulings of our immigration laws.

Thank you for the opportunity of reading my letter. I look forward to positive changes of our immigration laws.

GOD BLESS YOU AND GOD BLESS THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA!!!

    Sincerely
    G. Medehin

  109. Hi Monique,
First let me tell u I Love u and all your accomplishments. I was bothered by the comment that Keri Hinston had said on your show the other night. The way she had expressed herself by saying “she thanks god for not being in a wheel chair”. WHAT THE HELL DID THAT MEAN! That, If she was in a wheel chair she would not be successful. I felt discriminated. FYI Keri their are lots of wheel chair bound individuals whom are successful and live productive lives. The only thing that can impede your dreams and goal is your mind. Therefore the next time Keri wants to thank god she should really think of the millions of wheel chair bound individuals.

  110. Hello Monique, i’m sitting here looking at your show and tonite’s topic is dealing with obesity and it seems as if you were talking to me. I’m 31 years old and 6’0 feet tall and I currently weigh 348pds. I’m borderline diabetic, i struggle with sleep aphnea and a couple of other things, but yet I don’t have the motivation to want to lose it. My mom is losing and my sister is losing, but I have yet to lose. Last year, I lost 30pds and loved it, but gain it back after some events in my life. Now, I know what i have to do, but i’m struggling to find motivation. What advice can you give me.

  111. I just have 1 question. If someone from the Mo’nique camp explain why the people in Virginia Beach can not see the movie? The movie has already came out and the Hampton Roads still do not have the pleasure of seeing this film. Can someone please explain.

My life has never been the same. Please take the time to view my promo on Youtube.com/LittleLuther aka Kevin Peterson. Hit me back and let me know your thoughts on the promo, it would truly bless me to know what you think. I would also like to send you a DVD of the entire performance. See you when you’re in Philly.
