She might be a woman, she might be African-American but that does not imply that Michelle Obama is an angry black woman.
The First Lady of the United States of America did an interview with Oprah’s best pal Gayle King on “CBS This Morning” where she opened up for the very first time about the allegations published in New York Times reporter Jodi Kantor’s new book, “The Obamas.”
Kantor stated in her book that Mrs. Obama is a very tough woman who often times would get in fights with President Obama’s advisers if they did not accept her ideas or ways of doing things.
The writer made headlines with a passage that described an argument between the First Lady and then White House Chief of Staff Rahm Emmanuel on immigration reform and former press secretary and presidential adviser Robert Gibbs that put the president in a very uncomfortable spot where he had to pick sides.
Mrs. Obama told King that first of all she has not read the book, she shared that she has never quarreled with Emmanuel nor Gibbs who are her good friends and went on to explain:
“I do care deeply about my husband.I am one of his biggest allies. I am one of his biggest confidants. But this notion that I sit in meetings is false. I guess it’s just more interesting to imagine this conflicted situation here. That’s been an image people have tried to paint of me since the day Barack announced, that I’m some kind of angry black woman.”
