Floyd Mayweather Jr. Goes After Larry Merchant

Controversial boxer Floyd Mayweather, Jr. was declared the winner of Saturday’s match against Victor Ortiz that took place at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, after a much talk about knock out and a bizarre head butt.

Maybe it was the adrenaline pumping in the athlete’s body maybe it is because he lives to make headlines but seconds after the match Floyd Mayweather, Jr. got into a screaming match with HBO Sports commentator Larry Merchant who is 80-years-old!

Veteran reporter Larry Merchant dared to ask the fighter if he believed that the two blows that he delivered to Ortiz during the fourth and last round were unfair.

The question sparked a real anger in Floyd Mayweather, Jr. who replied with some very harsh words saying:

“You never give me a fair shake, alright, so I am going to do you a favor and let you talk to Victor Ortiz.You never give me a fair shake. You are shit and HBO should fire you. You don’t know shit about boxing. You ain’t shit.”

Despite his age Larry Merchant who was not afraid of the little bulldog replied by:

“I wish I was 50 years younger. I would have kicked your ass.”
