A well known poet lost his life in North Miami after being shot to death in front of his business.
Willie Lee Bell Jr, 45 known as “Da Real One” was gunned down outside of his establishment called the Literary Cafe’ and Poetry Lounge.
It was a car that carried the assassin who left the car as it pulled up and then unloaded several rounds into Bell. Cops say the multiple suspects may have been driving a dark colored car with a spoiler in the rear or a light colored car.
Bell had appeared on the popular HBO show the HBO’s Def Poetry Jam as well as appearing on the albums of Rick Ross and Pit Bull.
He had also reportedly had run ins with the law in his past including exploiting a disabled/elderly person and writing a bad check.

No word as to a motive for the shooting has come from authorities.
