One of the students who attend Oprah Winfrey’s Leadership Academy which is located in South Africa is currently being questioned by authorities after the dead body of a baby was discovered in the bag she was carrying at the time.
After she was taken to a hospital to be treated for excessive bleeding, the body was discovered in her bag.
The body has not yet been identified but officials have stated that it is in fact the dead body of an infant. Authorities are currently in the process of trying to determine whether or not the cause of death was natural.
So far no charges have been filed against the 17-year-old girl, but they are still questioning her in order to obtain more information on the situation and why she might have had the body in the bag to begin with.
A spokesperson who works for the South African school which Winfrey initially set up refused to comment at this time because of the fact that the case involved a minor. Details are still unfolding as police speak to the student.
