Sarah Palin is at it again and this time she’s targeted First Lady Michelle Obama regarding breastfeeding.
The former Alaska Governor started up on Ms. Obama who had made a point and recommendation that mothers breastfeed their babies which sent Palin into her critical snipe by saying, “It’s no wonder Michelle Obama is telling everybody you need to breast feed your babies…the price of milk is so high!”
Palin failed to realize that human babies aren’t recommended to drink milk from cows. Formulas are recommended by pediatricians not bovine secretions. Palin who has five children spoke out while at an appearance at some Long Island country club.
Palin’s criticism follows that of Republican Rep. Michele Bachman of Minnesota who accused Ms. Obama of interfering with American mothers for her statements about breastfeeding.
Palin and Bachman were both responding to Ms. Obama’s statements made while at a roundtable talk with the press last week where she stated, “Kids who are breastfed longer have a lower tendency to be obese.”
Palin has taken potshots at Obama before and it probably won’t be the last.
Using Twitter and Facebook, Palin gets her viewpoints to her fans and they’re often the source of much press. Obama however isn’t the only target of the former Vice Presidential candidate and the constant gaffes she makes continues to be the fodder for media and comedians alike.
