Rapper Pharell Williams recently found himself in hot water, after video footage of him surfaced at a concert, where he appeared to demonstrate an offensive Nazi hand gesture to the crowd while he was on stage.
Some of the concertgoers talked about the incident after the event in Las Vegas was over, and they said that they were offended by the rappers actions. However, a representative for Williams recently said that any allegations of inappropriate conduct were “downright silly”.
The rapper Williams and his band N.E.R.D. were recently performing a show in Las Vegas, when he took to the stage and allegedly gave a hand gesture that Adolf Hitler and his Nazi regime became known for during World War 2.
The video footage surfaced on-line fairly soon after the concert and controversy began to swirl around him even more.
However, the spokesperson for Williams recently talked to gossip website TMZ.com, saying, “You can’t see it because his hand isn’t in the picture, but Pharrell is throwing up the “Star Trek” sign, which is also the sign for his record label, Star Trak. To suggest hat he is doing anything else is wrong and downright silly.”
