Shirley Sherrod who is a former employee of the U.S Department of Agriculture has officially filed a lawsuit against Andrew Breitbart who is known for being a conservative online blogger.
He is being sued for posting a video on the internet which Sherrod claims has irreparably damaged her entire reputation and has caused her to lost good job.
The New York Times stated that the conservative blogger was served with the papers detailing the lawsuit on Saturday while at a Conservative Political Action Conference.
In the past Sherrod has served as the Director of Rural Development in Georgia for the USDA and has a well-established career with the government.
Sherrod was eventually pressured to quit her job in July of last year after Breitbart released a video of her on the internet which was clearly edited, arguing that it did not show the whole story and made her appear to be racist.
The video consisted of Sherrod telling a story about refusing to help a white farmer because of his race, but she insists that there is more to the story than just that.
She is fully planning on suing Breitbart for multiple damages including loss of potential income because of the fact that she is no longer employed as of right now.
