Barbadian singer Rihanna who is battling bronchitis and laryngitis teamed up with Canadian rapper Drake for a very raunchy performance of their duet together called “What’s My Name?” at the 2011 Grammys that is currently taking place at the Staples Center in Los Angeles, California.
Wearing a skimpy red outfit with a fringe and bright red hair Rihanna showed the world that she has no problems whining and teasing her former lover in public as African drums played behind.
The performance which included eight very flexible back up dancers, a very pretty costume and some spectacular flames was very easy on the eyes – too bad we can not say the same for our ears.
“What’s My Name?” is featured on Rihanna’s latest CD “Loud” that was released last year and has sold three million units world wide.
Rihanna and Drake have each have four nominations for the 53rd annual Grammy Awards.
The 22-year-old singer is nominated for Best Video, Best Rap Collaboration and Recording of the Year for the song “Love The Way You Lie,” her duet with rapper Eminem.
The “Rude Boy” singer is also up for Best Dance Recording for her first single “Only Girl.”
Meanwhile Drake is fighting for the Best Rap Solo Performance for the song “Over,” Best Rap Performance for “Fancy” which features rappers T.I. and Swizz Beatz, and Best Rap Album, thanks to his first album, “Thank Me Later.”
He is also up for Best New Artist but will have a hard time beating fellow Canadian Justin Bieber.
