Musical artist Erykah Badu has recently released a new music video to accompany her latest single “Gone Baby, Don’t Be Long”.
The new video is much less controversial than her last premiere, “Window Seat”, which caused quite the uproar due to the nudity that she portrayed in the film.
However, her new video is much calmer, showing the singer as she walks through an animated landscape while singing the vocals. Although not controversial, the video is excellent on it’s own, as it contains visual effects that are quite state-of-the-art.
The song “Gone Baby, Don’t Be Long” was taken off of Badu’s latest album series “New Amerykah”. The series is currently on it’s second album release, entitled “New Amerykah Part Two (Return of the Ankh)”.
The music video, which seems to have been inspired by blueprints, was directed by Flying Lotus, and also received assistance by Beeple, a graphic designer/animator.
Badu was recently convicted on charges of disorderly conduct after she took her clothes off in public while filming her “Window Seat” music video. She received a $500 fine as well as six months probation after she stripped in Dealey Plaza in Dallas, TX.
