This evening the Black Eyed Peas teamed up RnB singer Usher and rocker Slash to entertain the millions of people who tuned in to watch the Green Bay Packers beat the Pittsburgh Steelers by a score of 31-25 during the half time celebrations of Super Bowl 45th which was held at the Cowboys Stadium located in Arlington, Texas Sunday.
While Christina Aguilera missed few notes while singing the national anthem, the Peas composed of Will.i.am, Fergie, Taboo, and apl.de.ap were able to put on a fine show during the halftime with the help of some sparkly back up dancers.
The pop/urban group rocked the stage as they performed some of their hit songs which included “I Gotta Feeling,” “Boom Boom Pow,” “Pump It,” “Let’s Get It Started,” “Where Is the Love?” and “The Time (Dirty Bit).”
Later on Usher “descended from the heavens” in a futuristic costume to sing his latest hit “OMG” and proved to the audience that he still has it by doing some very impressive dance moves.
Fergie joined Guns N’ Roses guitarist Slash for a pretty shaky version of “Sweet Child o’ Mine” .
Not sure I’d characterize Fergie’s rendition of “Sweet Child o’ Mine” as “pretty shaky.” To me, it was a pretty good cover, a fitting tribute to a rock anthem. No one will do it like Axel Rose, and neither should they. I recently attended a Guns n’ Roses concert and frankly Axel’s rendition of Axel was pretty shaky, compared with their album version. Still, I enjoyed it. Go easy on the criticism unless you are willing to take center stage and show them how it’s done.
yt folks think fergie can sing- smh damn shame
black eyes peas sounded horrible!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
