Famous R&B singer Monica has recently confirmed that she did in fact marry professional basketball player Shannon Brown in November of last year and added that only close members of her family and friends knew the event took place.
There were a number of rumors circulating back in October of 2010 that the couple was planning to get married but nothing had been confirmed at the time; both celebrities were being tight-lipped about their relationship but now it seems as if they have opened up.
The rumors first began when Monica showed off a diamond ring on her Twitter page last year in October and since then the celebrity gossip pages have been buzzing.
The singer was more than happy to talk up about their recent nuptials, revealing that she couldn’t be happier about the state of their relationship. She says that ever since they got married it has been a dream come true and that she is definitely looking forward to their lives together from now on.
The clandestine marriage took place at Monica’s home which is located in the Los Angeles area. The last time she was engaged was when she was with the rapper Rodney Hill who is the father of her two sons. They ended up parting ways at the end of 2009.
