A rapper from Queens, New York has recently written a song that he hopes will get the NFL football team, the New York Jets through the playoffs and into the upcoming Superbowl.
Rapper Consequence released a new song entitled, “J.E.T.S. (Put Your Arms Out)” and it seems that New Yorkers everywhere are beginning to feel the love and support for the Jets.
On Sunday night, the Jets will take on the Pittsburgh Steelers in the AFC Championship game, and the pressure is on, as the winning team will secure themselves a place in the NFL Superbowl.
The rapper spoke about the track and how confident he was in the Jets, saying, “We’re going to win! It’s their time. I hope it inspires that. I hope Mark Sanchez got it on pump when he’s leaving the locker room, and Braylon Edwards and the whole team for that matter.
New York really feeds off that kind of energy. I hope the team takes it and embraces it as well.”
The song talks about motivating the city, as well as a predicted win in the Superbowl, with the rapper singing, “Put your arms out, and get ready to take off. This year New York is running the playoffs.”
