Dr. Dre recently let his fans off the hook and has finally announced the official release date for his latest album, “Detox”. The rapper posted a short video message on Twitter, through his friend Just Blaze, in which he announces that he will be dropping the new album on April 20 of this year.
Dre was repeatedly keeping his fans in anticipation, after announcing late last year that he was almost at “the finish line”. So far the rapper/producer has already released four songs off of the new album, and fans have been falling in love with them all.
The four singles also feature fellow rappers lending a hand on the tracks. The first single was “Kush”, which had Snoop Dogg performing it.
The second track was “Under Pressure”,featured Jay-Z. The third song was “I Need a Doctor”, to which Eminem lent his talents, and the fourth was “Syllables”, which saw Jigga, Eminem, 50 Cent, Stat Quo, and Cashis all band together to make a fantastic sounding song.
Although Dre said that he was upset that some of the songs had been leaked in their unfinished form, he said he was looking forward to the new album release.
