The latest death hoax to hit the internet caused some widespread panic across the world, as false reports began to spread that the former president of South Africa, Nelson Mandela, recently passed away.
The rumor began spreading around the Internet, and it featured a report claiming that Mandela had died on Saturday, January 15 of this year.
However, although many people were worried that the news was true, a representative for the Nelson Mandela Foundation came to the rescue and reported that the rumors about the icon’s death were completely false.
The statement from the representative said, “Nelson Mandela is well and on holiday. (These are) unsubstantiated reports about Nelson Mandela’s health.”
So far Mandela is just one more celebrity to be hit by the false death report that has been circling the web for quite awhile.
Other celebrities falsely reported to have passed away include Aretha Franklin, Charlie Sheen, Adam Sandler, Owen Wilson, and teen singing sensation Justin Bieber. All of these celebrities are alive and well, despite the false reports that recently spread saying that the opposite was true.
So far there is no solid confirmation about who is behind the false rumors.
Long live MANDELA
God is the only one who gave us live.god bles Madiba
