It looks like rapper Kanye West is facing a bit of a controversy from his past. A photographer has recently stepped forward and is suing the star after he claims that he was assaulted by West and members of his entourage underneath the Queensboro Bridge in New York City.
Photographer Michael Vazquez recently filed a lawsuit against West, and is demanding damages compensation for the painful attack that he claims West and his group put him through.
According to Vazquez, the attack took place at Guastavino’s on East 59th street after West had been at a party earlier in the evening.
Vazquez filed papers claiming that he had been hired to take video footage as well as photograph an event on May 14, 2008 that West was in attendance at. The party was celebrating to 25th anniversary of the Casio G-Shock debut.
West had reportedly been paid $1 million to attend and perform at the party, which he did, singing “Cant Get Me Nothing” on a throne, while four topless women danced around him.
According to Vazquez, after the event was over, he was “assaulted, battered, beat and threatened” by the star and nearly 10 of his security guards. So far there have been no comments by West or his lawyer about the situation.
