It looks like Rev. Al Sharpton has already decided what his resolution for 2011 will be—he recently announced that he plans to write a memoir detailing many of the intimate moments of his life, as well as attempting to build headquarters in Harlem that could cost around $20 million dollars to complete.
So far the title that has been presented for the memoir is “Mountain Highs and Valley Lows”.
Sharpton will be co-authoring the book and is bringing in Karen Hunter, a journalist who won a Pulitzer Prize in 1999 for her work on the Daily News Editorial Board.
When talking about his book, Sharpton said that he will discuss the ups and downs that he has seen in his life, including, “standing at Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.’s grave when Barack Obama won the presidency” among other things, like the death of famed singer Michael Jackson and the divorce from his wife that he went through in 2004.
The Reverend announced that he would be putting together a capital drive in order to try and raise $20 million for a House of Justice that would be located in Harlem.
