Tucker Carlson, a conservative leaning commentator on the Fox News network, said that Philadelphia Eagles quarterback, Michael Vick, should have been denied a second chance and “executed” instead.
Carlson who was replacing Sean Hannity on his Fox News’ show was commenting on President Barack Obama’s decision to praise Eagles owner, Jeffrey Lurie, for offering a second chance to Vick after 18 months in jail.
Michael Vick joined The Eagles last year after serving time, he was found guilty of participating in illegal dog fights. Some of the dogs were killed in the process.
According to Carlson, the actions of the quarterback did not deserve a second chance or any praise.
“I’m a Christian, I’ve made mistakes myself, I believe fervently in second chances,” Carlson explained. “But Michael Vick killed dogs, and he did in a heartless and cruel way. And I think, personally, he should’ve been executed for that. He wasn’t, but the idea that the President of the United States would be getting behind someone who murdered dogs? Kind of beyond the pale.”
Tucker Carlson over the top comments drew a lot of reactions, this is probably what he was aiming for in the first place.
I don’t understand why it is a surprise to hear him say that and then have the audicity out of the same breath say you are a christian. So since when has christians practice not forgiving people. I just would like to know what church he goes to and what bible he reads that says that certain sins does not require forgiveness. If attention is what he is looking for why give it to him these so called conservatives are a mess they make it as things are not about race but you have rosenberg who supposely rapped a chick let’s speak on that. If someone is trying to better themselves that is all we should be looking at. As christ said since you are a christian let does without sin cast the first stone.
