For those fans of the rap industry, it seems that they got their best Christmas gift so far after watching Eminem and Lil’ Wayne collaborate and perform together on SNL.
DJ Scoob Doo talked about the show before the two artists went on to perform, saying, “The energy in the building is historical and its extra special to see everybody fight for position backstage to see Lil Wayne take over ‘SNL’.
Fans have been eager for the two rappers to do a collaboration for some time, and watching the two of them duet live was bigger than many could have anticipated. They performed “No Love”, as well as “Won’t Back Down” which then turned into the recently released song “6’ 7’”.
The only other live performance that Lil’ Wayne has given since his release from Rikers Island was a stop on Drake’s tour in Las Vegas. Other than that, this was fresh Weezy for all of his die-hard fans.
After the performance was over, the social networking world was buzzing about the performance, with one person commenting, “Half the time I’m a Wayne hater but say what you want the dude performs like a champ.”
