Halle Berry Not Playing Oprah Winfrey In Biopic – Recently Halle Berry dismissed rumors that she would be playing Oprah Winfrey in a biopic that has yet to be confirmed. She said that while she thinks that the biopic is a great idea, she will not be the one to play Winfrey. Berry also stated that she wasn’t completely sure that the movie is going to be made, but if it is she will not be opposed to taking on the part. The film is supposedly going to detail the talk show host’s rise to fame, and all of the obstacles she has had to move through on her way to fame and fortune.
Rumors of the movie have began to spread in the wake up the talk show host’s stepping down from her own show later this year in order to officially launch the “OWN” network which will go on television January 1, 2011. She has said that it is a big project and will take all of her attention to get it started and see that it works. For many this decision is an emotional one, after all of the guests she has had on and audience members breaking into tears at many of her segments. There is quite a bit of anticipation for the new network which Winfrey is going to host, although it is unclear exactly what it will consist of.
