Inspectah Deck, Diggy And Other BET Hip Hop Awards 2010 Highlights – The annual BET Hip Hop Awards aired last night with some amazing performances, some hilarious moments and some strange controversies.
But what really stole the show this year were the impressive cyphers by Kanye West’s G.O.O.D Music members Common, Pusha T, Big Sean, CyHi Da Prynce. Another impressive piece was put together by Diggy and JoJo Simmons, Ice Cube & sons OMG & Doughboy, Diamond, Tyga, Royce Da 5’9 .
As for the award show itself Jay Z picked up the most trophies, he won Best Live Performer and ‘Empire State Of Mind’ picked up two awards one for Perfect Combo and the other for Best Hip Hop Video.
The hottest rapper in the game at the moment Nicki Minaj won the People’s Champ Award, Rookie of the Year and the Made-You-Look Style Award .
Too bad the event did not end there – something just had to go wrong.
Things went crazy when Raekwon who was performing asked DJ Premier to stop the music and said, “Yo, rest in peace to my brother from the Wu, Inspectah Deck.”
That sentence sent the internet in a frizzy seeking for answers to the questions – is Inspectah Deck dead? Where is Inspectah Deck?
If people were able to hear the entire sentence they would have understood that the rapper was talking about the death of Inspectah Deck’s mom because he went on to say:
“His old earth. His mother. Ms. Jason Hunter. Mrs. Hunter, we love you. Rest in peace.”
