Shannon Sharpe Michele Bundy Update – Shannon Sharpe CBS Leave – Shannon Sharpe has confirmed that he will be taking a leave of absence from his position as an analyst at the CBS program “NFL Today,” which runs during football Sunday. Sharpe is at the forefront of a sexual assault investigation. He was handed a temporary restraining order by Michele Bundy after she filed a petition in Atlanta’s Fulton County Superior Court.

Sharpe said he would remain away from the program until the matter could be resolved. A hearing for the case will take place on September 20th. The details of the alleged sexual assault have not been released and the incident has been filed under the “family violence” category for the hearing.

Sharpe is currently under consideration to enter this year’s NFL Hall of Fame class. At this point, he has not been charged with a crime and has not been arrested. A spokesperson for CBS sports said that the network accepted the decision that was made by Sharpe, but refused to comment on the case while there was still an ongoing investigation.

Sharpe first retired from the NFL in 2004, and has worked on “NFL Today” since that time. He plays the role of the funnyman on the program and is one of the favorites of the audience. It will be interesting to see how the program changes without his presence in the studio.
