Eminem & Jay-Z Detroit Concerts Opener: B.o.B – Eminem and Jay-Z have enlisted the help of rap artist B.o.B. for their upcoming Detroit concerts. He will serve as the opening act for their highly anticipated show at Comerica Park before the Detroit Tigers game. The concerts will be held on September 2nd and September 3rd. Detroit is Eminem’s home town, and he has a huge following in the city.
Eminem and Jay-Z have already gone through a number of rehearsals in preparation for the performance. Eminem even spoke about the show via his Twitter account, which he rarely uses. He stated that they had finished the rehearsal, and that the stadium was planning on opening up more seats in preparation for the concert.
After their shows in Detroit, the duo will then travel to Jay-Z’s home town, New York, where they will be performing at Yankee Stadium on September 13th and 14th.
The pair have only collaborated on one song previously, “Renegade,” from Jay-Z’s critically acclaimed album “The Blueprint.” With Eminem’s “Recovery” still selling very well thanks to his single featuring Rihanna, “Love the Way You Lie,” Slim Shady is hoping to extend his good fortune through the shows at Comerica Park and Yankee Stadium.
It will be interesting to watch the two rap legends perform on stage together. Although both artists have said that they have a mutual respect for each other, their paths have rarely crossed musically. Perhaps their performances will lead to more songs featuring the pair.
