T.I. Shines in New York – TI has had a rough couple of years, but last night the King of the South returned to the Big Apple and delivered a captivating performance. The show was not announced beforehand, and was a secret performance that was sponsored by Axe deodorant body spray. The show was his first since returning home from prison several months ago.
He was dressed in a hoodie, and delivered a very inspired performance. It was clear that he felt good being back out on the stage, and back at work. He will be starring in the upcoming film “Takers” that is coming out August 24th, and made sure to mention the upcoming release several times during his show. He performed some of the most popular songs that he has released throughout his career including “Rubber Band Man,” “24’s,” and “Ride With Me.”
He didn’t seem to miss a beat, and the transitions from one song to another were about as seamless as could be. He sounded crisp and full of energy during his performance. He also shared the stage with Grand Hustle artist B.o.B. The two acts had a great chemistry on stage that will hopefully spark a number of collaborations in the future.
He also came out and performed the songs “Don’t Forget Me,” and “Good Love” with Mary J. Blige. Tip was at a point in the concert when some artists would lose focus, but he remained as crisp as ever throughout the end of the performance.
