Queen Latifah and Lesbian Lover Jeanette Jenkins in Vacation – Queen Latifah and her life partner, Jeanette Jenkins were photographed on vacation together on a yacht. They were snapped getting close on the boat while they were vacationing with Alicia Keys, with her new husband Swizz Beatz.
The couple also attended their wedding, and stuck around to celebrate the wedding on their yacht in France.
Latifah were vacationing while the controversial Proposition 8 was being disputed in California. The lesbian couple was not busy talking about the proposition or the debate in the media, and decided to show their support in a different kind of way.
“Queen Latifah’s embrace of partner Jeanette Jenkins is a great symbol for the gay and lesbian community as Prop 8 was overturned,” tweeted one Cleveland resident.
It will be interesting to see how their relationship is examined while the proposition is debated. It has already created some fierce debate, and their affectionate display while the proposal is being debated shows that they are not afraid of who they are, regardless of what the government has to say about it. Latifah has been fairly subdued on the issue of gay rights in recent years, but has spoken publically about it in the past.
Without knowing it, they have somehow transitioned into a model couple for the gay community. One that silently protests those that attack gay rights.

I realize that her personal life if her business, and that she has to consider her career. But, there is still much stigma attached to being gay and it can be a career killer, however, since she has made much money, why not lend a hand in the fight to help show people that being gay is not abnormal. She is beloved by many. If she comes out, she will still be the same person, and people will begin to question their beliefs that gay people are value-less or of little value.
