Will.i.am, who had collaborated with Michael Jackson, protested against the upcoming release of ten new tracks of the late singer.
Michael Jackson New Album:Will.i.am Slams Release – Most fans of Michael Jackson have welcomed the announcement of the upcoming release of an album of ten new tracks of the late singer. Will.i.am is not one of them, quite the contrary. The front man of the Black Eyed Peas has stated that he despises the initiative that could include songs on which he had worked with Michael Jackson.
He said if the pieces were not released when the King of Pop was alive, it is precisely because he was not convinced that they were complete.
“I don’t think that should ever come out. That’s bad. He was a perfectionist and he wouldn’t have wanted it that way. How you gonna release Michael Jackson when Michael Jackson ain’t here to bless it?” Will.i.am told The Associated Press This week.
“Now that he is not part of the process, what are they doing? Why would you put a record out like that? Because he was a friend of mine, I just think that’s disrespectful,” he added. “What’s wrong with what he already contributed to the world?”
Michael Jackson’s record label Sony will surely not like these comments, the super producer doesn’t really care because he concluded: “So what? You don’t disrespect someone when they’re gone. … How much can you suck from his energy? … Freaking parasites!”
Jackson’s music has never been so popular.
I think its great idea! I can’t wait for MJ new songs. If the family approves who are you to say that. Maybe you should work on you music little bit more because it sucks!
will i am is right, show some respect ppl.
Ok, heres the deal. Ole Will has lost his mind. Granted hes a great producer/writer, but to say that a album will ruin his legacy and we should leave it how it is….absurd. You would think Ole will would have realised that it cant be tainted. Michael went through the hardest trials of his life, with media slamming him 24/7. Anyone would think, its over, his legacy will be tainted…..nope, even after that he still was on top with his legacy intact. Michael Jackson was so great, such an inspiration that if he was to record just him singing along with a $50 Casio on a little tape recorder and put it on cd, it would sale and his legacy would still be on top. People would say, “quality sucks, but man can he write and sing.” No matter the quality, just to here him singing was awesome. Its a shame that Will cant grasp how great he was. How can he say, “New Michael jackson Music Will Reuine His Rep.” Not a true fan I suppose, but I will assume hes still in denial about his death.
