Mashonda on Alicia Keys Meeting – Mashonda, the ex-wife of newly engaged Swizz Beatz (to Alicia Keys), recently talked about confronting Keys in a diner. She has spoken about meeting with Keys on several occasions for the sake of her son, and to put the past behind her.She split from the hip hop star and father of her three year old son Kasseem Jr. in 2008 when she learned that Swizz Beatz had been seeing Alicia Keys behind her back.
She also released an open letter to Keys, detailing the pain and suffering that she has felt at the hands of Swizz. Keys never publicly responded to the letter, and it eventually fell by the wayside.She accused Keys of wrecking her marriage, and said that she wished to meet with her to speak about the issue.
They came face to face in March, which was two months before Keys announced that she was pregnant. Mashonda recently spoke about their face-to-face meeting in an interview with Vibe magazine;
“When I wrote her that Twitter letter everybody wanted to say things like, ‘Oh, what do you need to meet her for? It’s not her problem, it’s Swizz’s.’ I’m like, ‘You have a kid, go through what I went through and then talk to me.’ I’m not having my son around anybody I don’t know.”
She went on to say that her and Keys had a healthy conversation about the issue, and that the two of them were able to work out an agreement. It is nice to see that the two of them can get along for the sake of a child despite their long history of problems between them.
Being a woman who is engaged to someone with two kids already from a old relationship.I can say its kind of hard dealing with a whole nother baby mama.some people worry about how tight were they before i came in the picture would you really want them being alone together but hey whose choice is it anyway? i have kids by this man now but still knowing that im not the only one is hard.but alicia keys dont worry about the ex because thats exactly what she is.look at the stuff he is willing to go through to be with you.he left his wife h family.she is no longer a factor for you and really she never was.Its really about the kids.Not yall

If you are so special he would marry you! Alicia Keys will get exactly what she has planted! You reap what you sow! There is an eternal life! We are not here to stay on earth forever, we will be judge for all deeds. I feel sorry for Alicia Keys,she is not a decent person, she is making her self happy from someone else pain. I like keys but what goes around do come around….And if he left his wife for her he will leave her for another woman. It is sad that this happen but to the wife she will be ok and she will find someone that will love her the way she deserve…I wish her the best.
Alicia Keys is a great artist but her morales and Mr.Swizz Beatz wasn’t respectful. What values will they instill on their child??? The man was married and it should’ve be respected until it was resolved and he was single. If the love is all that they could’ve waited.. Mashonda will be fine but Alicia made it hard for the real sistas out her demanding respect and fighting for it… What goes around comes around, he left his wife he will leave her also but with cash..

I think that was BS for Mashonda to write a public letter to Alicia. Anyone who does that is trying to get sympathy. Look hes gone let it go…yea meet her for your kids but talking to her about the affair will solve nothing. She needs to move on and if she wants to talk to Alicia she should do it in private like a real woman. Because a strong woman needs no sympathy from a situation like this
