Donald Glover Spider-Man Movie Audition Online Campaign – Donald Glover is very interested in playing Spider Man in the upcoming reboot of the movie that is still untitled. Glover, who has done an excellent job acting in “Community”, a popular television comedy series, has received mixed reviews from fans who are unsure about him in the Spider Man role. Glover became interested in the role after stumbling across a website that stated that the studio may be interested in using someone who wasn’t white to play Spiderman this time around.
Since then, Glover has campaigned for the chance to audition for the highly coveted role. He recently posted the following statement to his Twitter account;
“You guys. Let’s make this happen. #donald4spiderman.” Soon after his post a number of Twitter lists, and Facebook fan pages popped up in support of Donald’s bid to become the next Spiderman. There are currently 5 confirmed candidates for the role; Jamie Bell, Josh Hutcherson, Alden Ehrenreich, Frank Dillane and Andrew Garfield.
The upcoming film will focus more on Peter Parker’s time dealing with his new powers in high school, than the time after he has learned to use his powers. This part of the story was seriously neglected during the first three movies. The movie is only slated for a July 3, 2012 release.

Let’s face it, Peter Parker is white and Peter Parker is Spiderman…a reason Twitter mobs don’t matter http://www.weltbranding.com/blog/
We need our own superhero, not revamping what was meant for whitey.
