Janet Jackson New Haircut – Janet Jackson was spotted out and about in London yesterday sporting a new super short hair do.
Jackson is the latest A-lister to join the increasingly long list of celebrities who are foregoing their long locks, lace front weaves and hair extensions in favor of boyish crops and similar natural hairstyles.
The iconic performer debuted the gelled-back look while dining in the British city, where she is on hand to promote her latest film, “Why Did I Get Married, Too?”
While Janet’s had a few modish bobs in the past, we’ve never seen her go quite this short or boyish. And though the new look is a far cry from the natural curls and shoulder-length styles that she’s been rocking recently, this new low-maintenance style is very becoming of her.
It’s being speculated the 43-year-old singer-actress decided to change up her style because of the new man in her life, wealthy Qatari businessman Wissam Al Mana.
While the couple has not confirmed that they’re dating, the pair was spotted dining together at Italian restaurant Cecconi’s in Mayfair and Nobu Berkeley.
Jackson split from her long-time boyfriend, Jermaine Dupri, last summer after a seven-year relationship.
Dupri, who co-produced her 20 Y.O. album, left his position as head of urban music at Virgin Records following the “disappointing performance” of Jackson’s album. But the duo reunited professionally to create sweet music for Janet’s upcoming eleventh studio album, a follow up to her 2008 release, Discipline.

I will say it. Janet, it looks terrible. It does not compliment her facial features, and the style is frankly wearing her, she is not wearing it.
Ijust want to say i been a fan of Janet Jackson everysince i was 7 and i don’t care what hairstyle she has you may not like what i am saying but she will alwats be beautiful and i will always be her fan even if she has long hair or short hair. I don’t know if u like what i’m saying but it just my opinion and it is what it is and you have to accept it. This is for you Janet “you will always be beautiful to me no matter what you do or how you do it and i will always be one of your fans to the end.”
I think Janet’s new haircut is GORGEOUS. She’s blessed with a beautiful face and features that SHE can wear her hair both long or short. I find it interesting those who critize her new style and they lack ‘style’ themselves. Hint, to those who are so outspoken on this blog. Look in the mirror and take your advice. JANET: KEEP LOOKING GORGEOUS AS ALWAYS!!!!

Janet will always be beautiful with or without the hair. Her beauty come from within and not whether she has long or short hair. Hair is really overated and it’s unfortunate that society views beauty based on the legnth of your hair, the color of your skin, etc.

Black women look beautiful whether their hair is short or long. I was shocked when I saw her on American Idol with her short do. Maybe this change is theraputic for her.

Janet is, and always will be, a beautiful woman from a beautiful family; whether her hair is short or long. I love her entire family and will always be a fan. HOWEVER, I do not like this cut on her. Her face is not long and slim enough for such a short cut, and it makes her look older. So, sue me, I like hair. Besides, she didn’t cut her hair short, she just took the weave out and got her hair short hair cut in an even shorter style, Either way it goes…..YOU GO YOU BEAUTIFUL WOMAN YOU!

I have one ? for William Deron. why do you think black women are trying to look like caucasian women, is it b/c we have long hair as well? God has blessed us with long hair and every time you see a African American woman with long hair, don’t be so quick to think it’s weave. I am a dark skinned lady with long hair and I get it all the time “You know it’s weave”, but it’s not. I’ve come to the conclusion that I shouldn’t have to defend my hair………it’s just hair 🙂
