Alicia Etheridge Bobby Brown Engaged – Bobby Brown has proposed to his girlfriend of nearly three years, Alicia Etheridge, according to recent reports. The reports stated that Brown popped the question to Etheridge on stage in Florida over the weekend. Brown was playing a show at the Funk Fest concert at Jacksonville’s Metro Park on Friday night, according to the Florida Times-Union. He asked his girlfriend to join him on stage with their eleven month old son, Cassius. When Etheridge arrived on the stage, Brown dropped to one knee and asked Etheridge, who also works as his manager, to marry him.
Fans who were in the crowd went crazy during the proposal. “We shouted, we screamed,” said Carol Pearsall. “Hopefully he’ll get it right this time,” said another onlooker.
Brown was previously married to R&B singer Whitney Houston for 15 years. He has a daughter with Houston who is now 17. The two were famous from their bouts with drug abuse and other disagreements between the couple that became very public. Brown recently appeared on the television series “Celebrity Fit Club,” and also has three other children from previous relationships.
Brown has remained relatively quiet since his split with Houston, other than a recent rumor that claimed that the singer had passed away, he has stayed away from the media and has re-focused on his once successful singing career. Houston released an album last year titled “I look to you,” during the promotion tour of the album Houston also admitted very intimate details about her relationship with Brown, claiming that he had influenced her to become the drug addict that she had.
If Whitney Houston would take Bobby Brown back he would be gone in a hot minute. He is only marrying this person because he needs a place to stay. He no longer has Whitney around to pay his child support payments or to fuel his drug habits. This woman is ugly and in no way compares to Whitney Houston. I feel sorry for Etheridge. She will always be compared to Whitney Houston. How would you feel always being compared to Whitney? Their little baby boy is cute. If she is wise….she will run for the hills. Bobby Brown loves Whitney Houston. They may done drugs together but you could tell that they really loved one another. Too bad they couldn’t find themselves back to each other sober. Bobby will always love his one and only true love – Whitney Houston.
