Iron Man 2 Movie Premiere – The world premiere of “Iron Man 2” was held in LA last night (Monday, April 27) after being moved from London to Los Angeles following the Icelandic volcano eruption.
The entire cast of the star-studded film descended on to the red carpet spawning some fashion-friendly competition. Scarlett Johansson is said to have upstaged her co-star Gwyneth Paltrow, turning far more heads.
According to OK! Magazine, Johansson stole the show from the film’s star, looking flawless as she stepped out on the red carpet. The pair, who stars together in the superhero sequel, both opted to show off their legs in all-white outfits, but it was Scarlett’s dazzling frock that had the crowd cheering.
Gwyneth kicked off the color trend in her white and gold Giorgio Armani silk blazer-and-shorts combination, which she topped off with black peep-toe ankle boots and a matching clutch. But Scarlett managed to floor any competition in her stiff organza and crinoline, one-shouldered Giorgio Armani Privé gown with sparkling silver heels to complement her glittering clutch bag.
The men held their own in flashy duds as well.
Robert Downey Jr. arrived looking smooth in a pair of red shades, and got the most screams as he attended with his wife Susan. Mickey Rourke kept things casual as he ushered date Anastassija Makarenko along the carpet, while Don Cheadle laughed and joked with photographers before signing autographs for fans, donning a gray suit and nude-colored hat.
Samuel L. Jackson, Helena Mattson, Leslie Bibb, Jon Favreau, Michelle Lynn Monaghan, Clark Gregg, Jennifer Grey, Sam Rockwell and Olivia Munn also attended the event.
