Alicia Keys Mother Teresa 60th Birthday With Swizz Beatz – Alicia Keys helped her mom celebrate her 60th birthday in New York over the weekend, surprising her with a new whip.
Keys and rapper boyfriend Swizz Beatz threw the singer’s mom a lavish birthday party at Hudson Terrace along with friends and family on Saturday night. Swizz got on the mic to sing a special rendition of “Happy Birthday” to his future mother-in-law, as DJ Cassidy accompanied him on the turntables, while staff at the bash brought out 12 bottles of Vision adorned with sparklers for the birthday lady.
Later in the night, Keys and Swizz escorted Teresa outside, where a brand new black Cadillac was waiting on the corner. Talk about icing on the cake!
“It was really very sweet,” says one partygoer. “They very much seemed like a family.”
In related news, Ruff Ryders’ producer Swizz Beatz is reportedly launching his own line of high-end leather jackets, which will officially be released in the fall (2010).
Before word hit of his jacket collection, the rapper-producer was said to be working on a collaboration project with world-famous luxury shoemaker, Christian Louboutin, in 2009. Swizz has been constantly seen out and about sporting the flashy Louboutin kicks and jackets, but there’s no word yet if the luxury fashions designer will be involved in Swizz’s latest clothing venture.
Recently, Swizz resolved to take things to the next level in every aspect of his career.
“2010, I feel is my graduation year,” Beatz said in an interview with Rap-Up TV. “And so I’m gonna graduate my brand, my image, my music, my sound, my audience, my reach, everything.”
