Sonja Norwood Says Kim Kardashian Leaked Sex Tape With Ray J – Brandy and Ray J stopped by The Wendy Williams Show on Thursday to promote their new reality television show ‘A Family Business.’
The siblings brought along their parents, Willie and Sonja Norwood, who also star in the VH1 series which focuses on mom and dad passing along the family business, Rn’B Productions, to their kids.
Brandy and Ray J may be the stars of the family, but mom-ager Sonja is the outspoken standout, and she doesn’t hold her tongue – especially when Kim Kardashian’s name is mentioned. Quick to protect her children, the family matriarch didn’t have a problem coming to her son’s defense when the topic of the infamous sex tape scandal came up.
Williams chopped it up with Brandy and Ray J before their parents joined them on the couch. Being it was their first encounter since its release, the talk show diva didn’t waste any time asking Mama Norwood how she felt about her son and his then-girlfriend having a sex tape out there for the world to see.
Mrs. Norwood let it be known that her son wasn’t the one who took advantage of the situation.
“They were dating for five years. They were in love. But I always said, ‘What you don’t want people to see, you don’t do,’ regardless of how much you love someone…. but the sex tape somehow surfaced,” she told Williams.
“But my point is, with all the hoopla with it being Ray J and people trying to blame him, did you see him on the cover of Playgirl? Did you see him in the centerfold of Playgirl?”
It’s no secret that Kim Kardashian has graced the cover of Playboy, of which she had a multiple page spread. We assume Mrs. Norwood is implying that Kim was thirsty for the fame and attention, therefore responsible for leaking “the tape,” which she has indeed capitalized on. Kardashian reportedly made around $5 million for her bedroom romping, when she made a deal with Vivid Entertainment, the distributors of the DVD.
