T.I. King Uncaged Album Summer 2010 – T.I. has already promised fans that his forthcoming album will be more aggressive, so it’s only fitting that the album title be just as forceful.
According to the rapper’s label, Atlantic Records, the name of his seventh studio album is King Uncaged. While no tracklist has been released, Jim Jonsin, the producer who worked with T.I. on his single “Whatever You Like,” is scheduled to work on the project. Also, Just Blaze, who has worked with T.I. in the past on hits like “Live Your Life,” confirmed he’s spent time in the studio with the Atlanta MC.
The self-proclaimed “King of the South” has compared his King Uncaged to the late Tupac Shakur’s multi-platinum album, All Eyez on Me. Ironically, the late West Coast rapper released his 1996 classic album just months after spending time in prison.
“This is the most significant return from incarceration that the game has had since then,” T.I. said. “Just given the enormous success of that project, everyone’s expecting the same results. I just want to meet the expectations, if not surpass them.”
T.I.’s resident disc jockey, DJ Drama, also wants the “hood” to know that the “King” hasn’t forgotten about them, revealing that the rap star will be releasing a mixtape titled F**k a Mixtape. “He was doing his pushups and his sit-ups, and now we’re about to have the streets in a frenzy,” Drama told XXL magazine. “I’ll just put it to you like this, Bankhead Zone One is gonna love this.” No tracklist or release date has been announced for this project, but a tidbit worth mentioning is that incarcerated rap star Lil Wayne will appear on the compilation.
King Uncaged is scheduled to hit stores this summer on August 24 and be on the lookout for the mixtape when it hits streets.
