Chris Rock Has No Lovechild – A rep for Chris Rock has shot down rumors that the comedian fathered a child out of wedlock.
Chris Rock was spotted last Monday leaving New York City’s Trump International Hotel with his 5-year-old daughter Zahra and an unidentified little girl. Her unknown identity created a stir among tabloids, speculating that the mystery girl was his secret love child with another woman. A spokesperson for the comic moved swiftly to refute the claims, insisting the girl in question is a friend of the family.
According to Rock’s rep, “The child in the photograph with Chris Rock that appeared in the New York Post is the daughter of a family friend from South Africa whom his wife Malaak Compton-Rock met through her charity endeavors over the years. She visits often and when here is a joy to the Rock family,” the representative told People.com.
Tabloids also correlated the child to a 2007 paternity suit filed by a Georgia woman, Kali Bowyer, who claimed Rock was the father of her then- 13-year-old son. DNA tests later proved that was not the case.
Rock, 45, has two daughters – Zahra, 5, and Lola, 7, – with his wife. He and his wife met in 1994 and married in 1996.
In other news, the actor is starring in a new comedy, “Death At Funeral,” due out in April, and “Grown Ups,” arriving in theaters in June.
