Gabourey Sidibe, Oscar-nominated star, for her leading role in the controversial hit movie “Precious” fell short of taking home the Academy Award, and a weight loss company is alluding the defeat to her physical appearance.
AcaiSupply.com is targeting the actress by enticing her with a one-year’s supply of their product in return for an endorsement to help her lose weight.
“The only way you can reach your goal of someday winning that Oscar is by being active, fit and most of all, healthy!” the CEO wrote to Sidibe in a personal letter.
Evan H., whose signature appears at the bottom of the letter as CEO of Acai Supply, warns the actress of a major obesity epidemic that is ravaging Americans’ lives and how she can rid herself of such a terrible affliction – promising a healthier life if she uses Acai Supply’s berry products – which is posted in its entirety at TMZ.com.
The young starlet has been receiving harsh criticism from the media and public regarding her size. Most recently, shock jock Howard Stern took to his Sirius radio show, making insensitive remarks about Sidibe’s weight.
“There’s the most enormous, fat black chick I’ve ever seen. She is enormous. Everyone’s pretending she’s a part of show business and she’s never going to b in another movie.
In recent news, Sidibe’s mother is firing back at Stern about his cruel and hurtful words, telling him to “get a life.”
“Get a life… He can see, you can see, I can see Gabby is a big girl. She’s a big woman, so what’s wrong with that? She’s not like everyone else in the world. I don’t see him giving jobs out to anybody, so why should we care what he says? He might not hire her, but someone else will!” she tells Inside Edition.
