Chilli Usher Together Again – TLC’s former member Chilli who is currently promoting her upcoming VH1 dating show did an interview with Essence where she talked about getting back with Usher if the opportunity shows up.
On how her reality show :
Our producer from TLC’s show “R U the Girl?” was fascinated by my outlook on men and thought I was too picky. Years later we developed a show to help me find someone. I was very clear it couldn’t be your typical dating show. I’m very picky and all women should be. I want to encourage women to fight for what it is you really want, and stand by that. Otherwise you will have a lot of heartbreak or will be left unfulfilled. When you bring a lot to the table, you can’t be with someone who is half-stepping.
On how her show will be different from the other ones on VH1:
One thing is for sure, there will be no kissing on the mouth with these guys. That is so gross. That’s not a part of getting to know someone. They won’t all live in the same house either. It will definitely be a lot of fun. I’m not limiting myself to Black guys. I’m open to all men and all Black women should be. You may miss out on the man of your dreams because you are trying to stick with a brother.
On ever getting back with Usher:
(Laughs.) I don’t know. You never know. Only the good Lord knows that. If it’s meant for us to stay apart, we will, and if it’s meant to be the other way, somehow in the future it may happen.
On how being a mother impacts her dating life:
I would never get serious with anyone who had a problem with kids. I don’t like when women are dating and they present every guy they are dating as a boyfriend around the kids. When you are a great mom, it’s hard to not bring someone you are dating around your kid, but you don’t display affection in front of them. “This is mommy’s friend,” and that’s so your kids aren’t confused and develop bad habits.
On why she thinks she’s ready for love:
I’m hard on guys, that’s why I said maybe I do need a little help from VH1. I also know I have avoided many werewolves being tough. As a celebrity and just a woman who takes care of herself, you have to be very careful. Guys talk more than we do. I can go on a lunch date, and the guy spins it to something else, and that includes celebrities. All of that turned me off from dating. Now I am at the point to open up again. It’s also important to be able to enjoy your own company and I love my space. I do hope to get married one day, and when I do I still hope to enjoy being alone. Hopefully I will connect with somebody on this show. We already know ultimately who everyone wants me with (laughs).

Chlli, I believe if it meant to happen for you to it will, if not he will continue to stay away. You also have to remember no one is perfect and no matter who u get in a relationship with, u r going to go through problems. You cant always give up or run away, u have to talk and try to work it out, thats a part of continuing to learn your mate. I don’t feel she should get back with him. In my opinion, he still needs to mature and she needs to continue to move forward with her life. He had his chance with her and he did what men typically do when someone really cares for them. Now it was his mother who warned him not to marry, but he went and married someone he probably knows he should not have married. Now he is divorcing. Well when they stood before God and took those vow’s it was for better or worse, till death do they part. I don’t recall anything about you can divorce because you don’t feel like you married the right person, or this is no longer what you think you want. In a spiritual union you make a covenant with God and covenants are not made to be broken. “What God has joined together, let no man (human being) put asunder. Oops, that includes Usher and Tameka, even they can’t come between their own vow’s. News flash people, before you decide to marry make sure you know what you are doing, because no matter what you believe, if you choose to get a so called divorce, you will still be married. Yep as long as the other person is living you are NOT divorced. I would supposed that is the very reason people who divorce in this manner and marry again or get into another relationship it usually is worse than the first marriage, because they are still married to the first person they married. So I would say to Chilli, don’t even sign up for the drama of all and get back into anything with him. Move forward God has a real man waiting for you. Peace.

Well, if its meant to be than so be it. But, he just got divorce let him clear his mind and think about his kids. Because, i think she is going to give usher a hard time when it comes to those very beautiful boys, if he do return to chilli. Thats how she is i can look at her and tell she’s going to give usher hell for awhile. She look like she will use the kids against him just to get what she wants. So i hope it do work out for them both. I don’t think he should jump back in so quickly.

I think Chili and Usher should try it again if the breakup was not too devastating. If he cheated, she should not try it again. If it was that easy for him to cheat once, it will be easy again. Chili has to be strong and ready to try that again. It seemed as though they were so happy together. So whatever the circumstances were of their breakup, she has got to be strong and be prepared for any and everything. Women are not as tough as they profess to be. It is my prayer that they try it again. You know it seems as if we were just not ready for them to break up. They when he started dating that woman…..Something just was not right with that. I don’t think he wanted to be with her. She had something on him or he was just rebelling against something or someone. I think Chili and Usher should try to get back together..They made the most beautiful couple and they seemed to compliment each other so well…She seemed so happy when she was with him. You are not gonna find a man that doesn’t make mistakes. Every man that you meet you are gonna find flaws in him, so does that mean you are going to break up with them also? I think he deserves another chance..I don’t think either one of you has really been happy since the breakup. I know he got married and had two kids but thats what he wanted with you.
