Talented actress tells how she manages single motherhood and Hollywood

First-time Oscar-nominee Taraji P. Henson has taken center stage on the
cover of this Feb. 16 Jet magazine. In her top hat and sassy stance, Henson
strikes a pose in high style for an exclusive photo cover shoot. Making her
way from starring in “Hustle & Flow” to being nominated for best supporting
actress for her performance in “The Curious Case of Benjamin Button,” the
talented actress sat down with Jet magazine to reveal the secret behind
sustaining her most important role as a single mom to her 14-year-old son,
Marcell.
“It can be challenging at times, but everything always works out for the
good,” Henson says about juggling motherhood and her Hollywood career. “We
take it in stride because I never let what I do get bigger than life. I just
try to keep it really real and grounded around here.” (p. 26)
This issue of JET magazine hits stands nationwide Monday, Feb. 9.
