Tyra Banks has “big sh*t poppin, and lil sh*t stoppin”.
Banks has just signed a new deal with Warner Bros. to produce scripted series, reality shows and DVD projects.
Banks said she’s looking to create shows:
“that attract my core audience” and that are “aspirational and empowering.” She adds: “But we’re going to have a lot of fun with those messages, too.”
Additionally Tyra is expanding into film with planned direct-to-DVD projects, starting with adaptations of the bestselling Clique series of teen novels. The books explore young-adult social politics and have sold more than 4 million copies in the U.S.
The former supermodel said:
“I’ve been a mean girl and I’ve been teased, so I identify with both sides of it,” Banks told Variety. “This is very much my brand, especially as teenage girls are dedicated to watching both my shows.”
Warner Premiere president Diane Nelson said the studio plans to market Banks-produced titles under the banner of “Tyra Banks Presents.”
Now if only she would buy a better wig with all that money.
