EW is reporting that RnB singer Kelis has been dropped from Jive the label that’s home to Britney Spears, Justin Timberlake, and R. Kelly.
Kellis ‘ 2003 album, Tasty,had a massive hit called “Milkshake,” and was certified gold.
But in 2006’s she released “Kelis Was Here”,that flopped.
Her manager said:
“It was a case of being in the ever-shrinking world of the record industry and finding herself on a label she wasn’t signed to and without a champion,” “She’s a different kind of artist — very image and style-driven. It’s either something you get or you don’t.”
Kelis has been working on an indie dance record with Cee-Lo called “Nebula” that should be out in 2008

I think kellis is a wonderful singer and she deserve better.Her current album ACAPELLA is a hit here in SOUTH AFRICA and I think she should come and perform in the near future
