Amerie was photographed as she performed at the Girlguiding UK Big Gig at Manchester Arena few days ago.She is reportedly working on her next album.
She recently said in an interview:
“Well, I’m always constantly creating,” she explained. “Usually once I’m done recording my album and once it’s out, I’ve already kind of started creating something else.”
The artist hopes to tackle on designing, modeling, and even jobs behind the camera in the future:
“To me, all these things come from the same place – creative energy, the need to express yourself.”
Amerie revealed that sensibility is what keeps her level-headed and away from the headlines sex, drugs, and run ins with the law:
“I just love to live a regular life. For some people, I see that they are going through a lot of things, but you know, if you don’t want it to be that way, it doesn’t have to be.”
Amerie is best known for her biggest hit single, ‘1 Thing’ from her second album ‘Touch’, which peaked at number eight in the United States and earned her a 2006 Grammy nomination for ‘Best Female R&B Vocal Performance’.
