Marion Jones has admitted to the usage of steroids in the 2000 Olympics.
Jones plans to plead guilty on Friday to two counts of lying about her drug use.
The former champion will also plead guilty to an unrelated financial matter in a New York court.
In a letter she sent to close family and friends, Marion admits that she took the steroid called “the clear” for two years beginning in 1999.
She won five medals at the 2000 Games in Sydney, including 100m and 200m gold.
In 2004 the International Olympic Committee opened an investigation into allegations that Jones used performance-enhancing drugs.
Jones,has always denied ever using drugs to help her performance.
The track runner faces up to six months in jail for lying to federal agents about her drug use.
